    True and true.

Dodgers don’t make mistakes in the field

Can we have Kershaw to close?

6 more outs. But who's going to get them? Kenley Jansen?

With that strut he is getting earholed next year.

I’m a dodger fan, even longer than Druff, but I am a bit glad he hurt his shoulder....cocky bastard.

The baserunning error by the Braves with 2nd and 3rd no out was bigger.

Turned into man at 1st 2 out, instead of 2nd and 3rd with one out, so that was a massive rally killer.

That could have been a game ending inning.
I was talking about 2 nights ago, but tonight’s was pretty damn good. Agree that 2 base running outs is killer.

Sanlmar, Urias is now 4-0 in this postseason.

    9 up, 9 down in a super-pressure spot.

Kenley Jansen must feel the burn that Roberts doesn't trust him with the ball in a big spot. And Roberts made the right cal.

Next series will be different. Tampa has great pitching but a mediocre offense which didn't even score as much as the Angels this year.

    Braves 3, Dodgers 4 --- what a game!

Dodgers effectively making the rundown play -- credit the coaching, plays like that need to be drilled on/practiced

Braves played well, too bad they lost.

Also for some reason, I didn't realize Andrew Friedman was this short.

Not that it's a huge surprise, since most Jews are short. I feel like a giant at temple. There are some tall Jews, including OSA and Master Scalir, but there aren't many of us.

Jansen and Kershaw can console each other.

How is Roberts going to explain to Kershaw that he will let him pitch once but likely only once. Let Kershaw announce he has back spasms?

Urias got a bad rap in the domestic violence thing. It wasn't nearly as bad as people were saying. They were in some big argument in a public parking lot, Urias pushed her, and she fell down. People called police.

Obviously he shouldn't have done it, but it's not like he was beating his girlfriend behind closed doors. Everyone got over it quickly when it turned out to be a minor incident.

The Dodgers haven't handled him well. They can't seem to decide if he's a starter or reliever. He never gets a consistent chance to start, yet he's also never told that his role is a reliever. He just bounces around, despite relatively good overall numbers.

Kind of reminds me of Dominic Smith of the Mets, who inexplicably wasn't given a consistent chance, and thrived in 2020 when he finally got one.

If the Dodgers let Urias be a consistent starter for an entire season, he should be pretty effective. He's definitely shown that he can handle postseason pressure -- something that Dustin May and Tony Gonsolin can't say yet.

If I ever suffer from ED I will just have to close my eyes and imagine David Price & Clayton Kershaw wearing matching Dodger home uniforms with the top buttons undone.

Dodgers need to put Kershaw on the injured list until the last 60 games every year.

His debut never aligned with the hype. We made nice money fading him.

In fairness to me Druff, my complaint was that Urias tried to be too cute. He nibbled at the plate and was afraid to throw strikes. Was that a confidence issue or Dodgers coaching? Idk.

I recognize Urias doesn’t screw around any more. He will attack the zone now. He is what I fear.

Odd number games matter more though. I don’t understand the the Dodgers pitching alignment this series but then nobody really ever understood Dodgers pitching strategy anyway.

So far the Dodgers have matched up well with the Rays, as I expected. I'm glad the Yankees didn't make it. A healthy Yankees team could have destroyed some of the lesser Dodgers pitchers -- or even some of the greater Dodgers pitchers if they weren't having a good day.

Dodgers have been good for a really long time against mediocre-hitting teams. That's because their own offense is really powerful, and if their pitching is "good enough" to hold mediocre lineups down to a few runs, they win.

Roberts has actually done a really good job with the running game thus far, including the return to some outdated concepts such as double steals and suicide squeezes. It's all worked. While Roberts (or the people upstairs pulling the strings) made some mistakes early in the Atlanta series, he's done an excellent job since.
