Well, looks like the Yankees are back.

The A's finally won a winner take all game, going back to 1973.
Bring on the Astros!
For the first time ever, I'm getting open solicitations from a Dodgers season ticket representative. I've never once bought any kind of season ticket package from the Dodgers, and in factI've nly bought parking directly from them in the last several years.
Second e-mail from this guy.Hi Todd,
I simply want to send along a friendly follow up to see if you have had an opportunity to review how Dodgers Premium Seating can be of value to you and the team at Todd Witteles.
Have you given consideration to any of our exclusive corporate hospitality options? I would be happy to further discuss if you have time on your calendar for a 10 minute phone call.
Please let me know any way I can be a resource for you here at Dodger Stadium.
They must have had a shitload of cancellations of season tickets for 2021 due to COVID, including from scalpers, who owned 15,000 (!!) season ticket seats.
I've told people that season tickets are now an antiquated concept. You used to need them in order to assure yourself good seats if went to a lot of baseball games. Not anymore. You can get good deals every day on Stubhub, with plenty of inventory available. Season tickets just aren't worth the hassle, commitment, or expense anymore.
Can you imagine the refunds on season tickets? Wonder what the total dollar figure was? They are so fucked in 2021.
Texas will sell out though in 2021. Kansas City.

Still applies today, though COVID makes it even more true.
Well, the Cardinals crapped the bed and blew a 6-2 lead in a clinching game.
Good for my Padres over 4.5 runs bet yesterday, bad for the Dodgers. Cards get shut out today (as did the Cubs), and the 4 NL teams to move on will be the Braves, Marlins, Padres, and Dodgers.
Dodgers and Padres get each other in the 2nd round, which sucks for the Dodgers because these are the best 2 teams in the NL, and the two in the other series are far inferior to both.
Honestly, the Padres scare me. They even have their own megastar in Fernando Tatis, countering the Dodgers' own megatsar in Mookie Betts.
Can Walker Buehler and Clayton Kershaw outdo the substitutes for the injured Dielson Lamet and Mike Clevinger? Guess we will see. The Dodgers can take a little solace in that the Cardinals -- a weak team full of aging has-beens -- was able to almost beat the Padres. Then again, the Dodgers didn't exactly blow out the Brewers.
If things were fair, the Dodgers would be facing the Marlins, but things aren't fair.
Similarly, the best two teams in the AL -- the Rays and Yankees -- will be facing one another in the second round, as well.
This situation sucks. Two of the four best teams in baseball will be eliminated by the time the ALCS and NLCS begin.
We might be looking at a repeat of 2017, where the LCS featured the Astros, Yankees, Dodgers, and Cubs -- except this time no Cubs.
Also pretty funny that the NL Central sent 4 teams to the first round, and all 4 lost.
gonna need 2 gems from greinke vs the yanks

Freaking Jansen...bed shit
Why was Machado bitching after he obnoxiously threw his bat earlier in the game, following hitting a home run? Nice to see him choke as usual, to end the game.
Sooo... it's looking kinda likely that the Rays will be one of the World Series teams.
If the Braves are the other, goodbye ratings.
The Dodgers game tonight will have fans. Tickets can be had for very reasonable prices. I guess it's because neither team is anywhere near their home city.
You can get excellent seats right behind the Braves dugout for $180/each.
