U.K. family arrested after driving through B.C. ditch into Washington state Social Sharing

A family of seven (Gypsies) from the United Kingdom were arrested in Washington state earlier this month after entering the U.S. illegally from B.C. by driving through a ditch.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a statement the vehicle was seen on surveillance video turning west onto Zero Avenue in B.C. at 9 p.m. PT on Oct. 2.

The vehicle then turned south and "slowly and deliberately" drove through a ditch onto Boundary Road in Blaine, Wash., Stephanie Malin, a spokesperson with the U.S. agency, said in an email.

How did they even get into Canada? I am assuming inside a shipping container. This also could be a dumb stunt for a reality show.

That makes their moaning hilarious. Especially about their kids. Their culture is based around systematic abuse of children through forcing them to endure poor living conditions and indoctrinating them into a culture of antisocialism.

there was some incredibly short lived 'reality' tv series about roma in nyc that dovetails nicely into this scenario.

Just looked at this on the map.

The article is a bit incorrect. There is no Boundary Rd in Blaine, WA. There's a Boundary Court, but that doesn't directly connnect with the border, nor is there a ditch apparent on a satellite map.

There's a bunch of businesses lining A St (the northern most Washington street facing 0 Avenue in southern BC, where they veered from), and then Boundary Ct intersects with A St.

I can't find any "ditch" in the satellite pic. It looks like they just purposely went off the road, drove around one of the US businesses, popped out on A St, and someone probably saw this shit and reported them, thus the quick arrest.

Need a wall between the US and Canada, obv.

Growing up in Vancouver I remember some of the Canucks including Alexander Mogilny and maybe Pavel Bure not sure lived in place called Point Roberts. It's technacilly in Washington state(1hr from van) but It is not a traditional border crossing. They did it for tax purposes. Could be around there this happened.

I Read they tried to cross the border on 0 avenue near Lyndin WA which is close to Mission BC about a hour from Vancouver, coincidently probably the quietest area with ditch access along the border in this area.
There are so many border guards along the border with cameras and interested citizens. i think most people know trying to cross here is really dumb.

You can see the ditch using Google Earth. And most of that section has private fencing on the American side. Just not in a short section where there are shrubs per this Google Earth Street View pic.
