    Update from Haley Hintze: https://www.vegasslotsonline.com/new...cheating-case/

Cliffs: Postle has been avoiding service, and Mac Verstandig actually showed up at Postle's house and kept ringing the doorbell, then looked into Postle's house to see if he was really home (and he was). They're now trying to declare Postle served and move forward with the case.

    Druff- Thanks for the updates.

Side note- Dodging a process server, I have also done this on a bogus case out of LA involving a known radio personality. I actually was not home at the time of the attempted service.

Huge fan of Haley. Did she ever write that book on the UD scandal?

She needs to write a book on something.

    Welllllllllllll.... this is really.... strange.

First off, there was an account on Twitter named "Christina Postle" on YouTube pretending to be Mike's daughter, which was defending all of the hands in comments on the initial videos that were posted back in October. The account had a picture of Mike and a young girl. It was clearly Mike himself on the account. The account was eventually deleted. I hadn't heard about this until now.

However, more recently, an article appeared on the little-known blog site "rounderlife.com", claiming that they analyzed Postle's hands, and that his play was "within reasonable range".

    Here's the article: https://www.rounderlife.com/new-numb...on-postlegate/

They have not released any concrete information in this article which would show Postle's play was reasonable, but claim that this will be posted "over the next few weeks".

The article was posted just hours ago.

So what is Rounder Life, and who runs it?

Many suspect that Postle himself runs Rounder Life, or that he hired a reputation-salvage internet firm to put it together. Neither appear to be true.

Rounderlife.com was registered in 2008 -- eleven years before the discovery of the Postle scandal. The registration info is as follows:

    Name: EVERT CALDWELL
    Organization ROUNDERLIFE
    Address [redacted]
    City PANAMA CITY BEACH
    State / Province FLORIDA
    Postal Code 35222
    Phone [redcated]
    So who is Evert Caldwell?

He's a 56-year-old man from Florida, who seems to play poker recreationally.

Rounder Life has attempted to be a blog and poker affiliate site on and off throughout the years, but has failed. Nobody seems to be visiting it, and for several years it shut down and went "under construction".

Here's what it looked like in 2011: https://web.archive.org/web/20110210...underlife.com/

Here's what it looked like in August 2018, almost two months before the Postle scandal broke: https://web.archive.org/web/20180818...underlife.com/

Evert Caldwell also attempted to start a "Rounder Magazine", but it didn't seem to exist too long. He still owns roundermagazine.com, which forwards to rounderlife.com.

In October 2016, rounderlife.com displayed the following bizarre message as its entire content:

“Rounder Magazine” and its related assets, including the web domains rounderlife.com and roundermagazine.com, as well as any and all rights to “Rounder” related trademarks including the “R” logo, have been returned to and are the sole property of its founder, Evert Caldwell.

There are no further disputes between Mr. Caldwell and Compass Entertainment Group, LLC or any other person(s) named in the trademark lawsuit related to “Rounder”, which has been terminated.

A new “Rounder” website is under construction.

For additional information please contact Evert Caldwell at ecaldwell@rounderlife.com

Weird, huh? A trademark dispute over a dead magazine and a website almost nobody visits?

Anyway, it went back up in 2018, as you can see above.

What is Evert Caldwell's relationship to Postle? I doubt there is one. My guess is that this is his way to get clicks, as everything else over the past 11 years has failed to draw traffic.

You will see that the Alexa Site Traffic Analysis (not related to Amazon's Alexa, by the way) shows the site has virtually no traffic: https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/rounderlife.com

In short: Nothing to see here. Just a guy trying to get attention to his blog. And I guess he kinda succeeded, for now.

Going down the rabbit hole further, the trademark issue between Caldwell and Compass Entertainment Group seemed to stem from the fact that Compass owned rights to the "Rounder Poker Club" name: https://trademark.trademarkia.com/ro...-77699495.html

Compass also produced content for the 2000s USPC tournament series, as noted by Allen Kessler in this 2009 2+2 post.

However, their website, compassentertainment.com, is currently down, and replaced by a GoDaddy placeholder page.

Presumably they attempted to stop Caldwell from using "Rounder" in his brand name in the mid-2010s, but apparently they gave up.

Thx for the kind words. AP/UB book is on ice; writing it (it's about half done) was a negative, draining experience that exacerbated some health issues. So I had to step away for a while.

PS: The Lipman story referenced above was also mine, just done for another site, the reborn Kickass Poker blog.

Evert and Postle appear to be old buds, and Postle used to work in "Marketing and Promotions" for Rounder Life, which Evert edited. Check low on the masthead on p.4 here:

Mike even had the postle@rounderlife e-mail address. So, this recent blog looks like a good ol' boy doing a favor for a friend.

    Great find.

I stand corrected about the lack of relationship.

Clearly, as you said, Evert is an old friend of his, trying to help him out. Maybe Evert is even naive enough to believe Postle is possibly innocent.

I worked on a case where a doctor avoided service. The process server solved the problem by making a doctor's appointment.

I guess this is another attempt by "Rounder Life" to of course not be biased and instill doubt on behalf of their friend, Mike Postle...this time from a smallish article from one David B. Lukow.

    https://www.rounderlife.com/postle-m...-other-casino/

It's kinda hilarious. Grabbing at straws. He "may have played at other casinos" ---> so please don't try to go after my friend for millions which will make him bankrupt.

Even if he did play regularly somewhere else, this is not the sticking point of the lawsuit, and shouldn't hurt the plaintiffs' chances.

This David Lukow is an attorney based out of New York, but seems to have some association with poker over the years.

I liked this disclaimer rounderlife put on the article... only after their objectivity was called into question!

In 2007 Rounder Magazine recognized Mike Postle as an elite pro and provided him with merchandise to promote the Rounder brand. No other considerations have been provided. Mr. Postle has never had ownership rights, nor has he ever been employed by Rounder. Rounder Life Media is not in a position to determine Mike Postle's guilt or innocence. This will be determined by the official investigation(s) being conducted, or through a court of law, not speculation. We will continue to pursue all relevant facts related to this case and report such, whether they support or disprove the charges.

Stones lawyers claiming that the gamblers suing them are just sore losers.

    https://www.sacbee.com/news/local/cr...240882781.html

This might actually work, sadly. Juries could be easily fooled into thinking these were just people who couldn't handle losing money to a luckier or better player.

Also a guy named @HenryGarrison18 on Twitter, supposedly manager of the Beau Rivage Poker Room in Biloxi, drew everyone's ire by stating that "Rounder Life" convinced him that people are jumping to conclusions about Postle too quickly.

He was bashed hard and has since deleted the tweet.

Mike Postle just accidentally doxed himself on his own website that he claims to not own.

RounderLife is a website/magazine that has constantly goes to bat for Mike Postle, fudging the numbers from Stones Live streams to make him look innocent. He was clearly one of the co-founders of the company, as the early editions of the magazine name him 2nd in the masthead.

Basically, Postle clearly is an owner of the website and uses it to try to defend himself.

Today they wrote about his motion to dismiss, which as Mac notes above, was not a matter of public record: https://www.rounderlife.com/mike-pos...on-to-dismiss/

    https://www.rounderlife.com/wp-conte...OTION-_002.pdf

A cursory glance at that doc will tell you that him publishing it was a

The current owner of Rounder Life (well, the owner who isn't Mike Postle) follows me on Twitter and apparently sometimes listens to PFA Radio.

I might be able to get him to come on the show. In fact, I think I'll send him a message tonight and ask.

    Cliffs of Haley's article:

    - Mike Postle used the e-mail address roundermagpro@gmail.com when filing the response, and then changed it to a Yahoo address for the article, in order to cover up his association with Rounder Magazine (aka Rounder Life)

    - Sacramento area attorney Owen Hughes is very likely the author of this response, for various reasons: (1) Because an earlier version of the document had reference to "Mr. Hughes"; (2) Because there's an association between Postle's former attorney William Portanova and Owen Hughes; (3) Because some of the language used in Postle's motion is basically word-for-word copypasta from previous filings by Hughes in other cases.

Here's an ongoing case where Hughes is the defendant, and Portanova is his attorney: https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/...erica_v_Hughes

Almost right. The boilerplate was taken from Portanova's filing in defense of Hughes. Hughes didn't even create that part of it.
