I bought a utility trailer years ago from a serious welder dude.
It's perfect but I've lost part of the original coupler and they are hard to come by.

A replacement is going to cost me like 80 bucks.
Alternatively, they have these coupler repair kits.
It looks like it will work but the clamp portion of the kit is too wide
on one side. Not by much but sill.

The clamp would fit perfectly if it was turned backwards but not
in the intended position.

Question. Would a blow torch and vice combination work at reducing the width of
the wider portion of the clamp(red line side)?
