New England Patriots -17.5 is the Lock of the Year

We all know what happened last week but, just incase you don’t-

    NE 33 PIT 3
    BAL 59 MIA 10

Let’s remind ourselves that BB enjoys running up the totals more than any coach in the league. Let’s also remember that this is AB’s first game with this offense and they will treat it as if it is a practice for him. I expect the starters to play all or most of the game, and if they are subbed trust that the 17.5 will be long surpassed. This could turn out to be the best Patriots offense of all time, and the 2019-2020 Miami Dolphins could quite possible be the worst football team ever. Back up the money truck on the Pats this week.

Oh fuck off. Why did you have to do this.

It’s also 18.5 in most spots now.

Well I was already painting a picture, but creating this thread is the icing on the cake.

Oh my bad. I got it at -17.5 yesterday. It’ll be interesting to see how far it moves as I think in reality they are more like -23.5

I am well aware of new England’s troubles in Miami (also a pats fan) but you can’t actually tel me you expect this game to go this way can you?

The difference this year vs the examples offered is Miami WANTS to lose.

Tanking is respected and now more commonly accepted in the nerd era. Embrace it

Tanking is a powerful look in sports and like what we were doing in the NBA last season it should be one of the first filters in your handicap.

That said, the comparison to 2007 is interesting conversation. Bellichick was angry at the NFL then. Rules were less offense friendly (gay). The 2007 achievement was extremely powerful. Now Bill may want to make a point this year too but I’m not sure what that angle would be.

I feel a migraine developing as people try to compare two different eras of rules.

The difference between 17.5 and 19 is meaningless. Not an important number
