    Greetings from Africa

Arrived in Zambia yesterday, spent today working in Lusaka, sampling the riches of Africa by lunching at KFC, obv.
Off to Ndola tomorrow, more to follow.

Could you pop over to Nigeria and ask Rev. Clarence Horvarth when he is going to send me the $178 million he promised.

I sent him $10k for processing fees, but haven't received anything from him, and it's been 3 months. If he weren't a man of the cloth, I would start suspecting I was scammed.

2 - would be 1 but some of the driving is nuts.

Risk of homicide is higher than in civilised countries**, but I’m not taking undue risks

**which excludes the USA of course:
Homicide rate in Zambia 5.3 per 100,000
Homicide rate in USA 5.3 per 100,000

And it’s probably the Black African country where there is least ant-white feeling.

I’d be a bit worried if I was Chinese though as some anti-Chinese feelings brewing due to Chinese “new colonialism”

Perhaps Ahmed Abdalla could check in here and give some pointers for your stay.

He is (or at least was at the time) a well educated and successful Nigerian barrister who helped to correct issues with some users funds not being properly transferred from Africa to the states. He served us well on Donkdown back in the day and was a really nice guy, however I haven't heard from him in years. I miss him and I hope he is ok.

Pics please, btw that Discovery show Serengeti is fascinating.

Set off for Ndola by car at 0530, still feeling the after effects of the shits I picked up yesterday (maybe KFC is that bad after all), long drive to Ndola a few straw huts along the way, lots of road tolls, a few road blocks shaking down truckers but no hassles for us. in one bit passed people selling big rats (live) dangling on pieces of string attached to sticks. Also kids holding up live chickens, but mainly honey and fruit. Roads pretty good -government comes in for criticism for spending to much on them, but I was pretty grateful. Everyone super polite and friendly so far, no hint of antiwhitey. Country is super religious, at one point passed 5 Jehovah’s Witness halls by the side of the road in about 10 miles.

    Am now here:

Oh, and some of the Tv is very funny. Particularly enjoyed the Zambian school kids doing funky dancing and claps to Shabbat shalom hey. The programme was called Funtime, and I could not argue with that.

When I went to South Africa in 1988, right in the heart of Cape Town’s notorious Gugulethu township, there was a KFC. Looked just like one in America, except it was located in a place where most people didn’t have electricity or running water.
