Article on Amending Nevada Online Regulations

I thought this was an interesting piece, especially considering all of the fail from WSOP.com lately, both software and cashout wise from John Mehaffey:

When regulated online poker appeared to be in Nevada’s future, I lobbied for it. I regret that now. I am embarrassed by the fruit of my efforts. It is an industry low point.

It is no secret that I have been an outspoken critic of Nevada online poker. I feel strongly that it has been a comedy of errors. Three licensed poker sites launched in Nevada since it was legalized in 2013. Two failed. The last one standing is the subject of constant customer complaints.

Unfortunately, anything I have tried to do to improve Nevada online poker has either fallen on deaf ears or gotten the monopoly operator angry with me. It is time to do something about the situation. The protection of Nevadans is too important.
    Also found this interesting:

WSOP.com banned me after I publicly criticized the site for poor support and stalling tactics during a withdrawal request. It claimed I requested the banning. I did not. When I challenged that false assertion, the site changed its story to a terms and conditions violation, which I also dispute.

Yes the management fail at WSOP.COM is no secret but the bigger blame is this fail of geofencing to the point people for the most part cant play across state lines and even while they now can its a fail theres not enough traffic in the few places that have legalized it to reach a critical mass.. The morons that thought this was the way to go either deliberately set up Online poker to fail or as I suspect are just so fucking stupid they have no clue and never had one in how to make sure poker site has enough business to actually be successful.. Its like the idiot who tries to light a campfire and instead of starter fluid he wets it down with water instead before trying to ignite it.. Its a sad state of affairs when Foxpoker the grey market site heralded by RealGrinders has more traffic then WSOP.com does.

I think the only reason wsop.com still exists outlasting other Nevada fail sites is because of how profitable the live bracelet events are to them in the summer. They offer this as a service for advertising, having satellites,etc...

The traffic problem will always be there until more states add online poker and combine that is just facts.

Over the past two years they've tried to cash in on the site during wsop time offering bracelet events and it did increase depositors but they don't give a damn about it otherwise.

When you outsource help for something like this it's just clear what they think about it.

Running these small sites into the ground because you make money in other revenues or simply not trying to grow them seems like an end game play. Lets keep the sites so shitty nobody wants to come here and hope they show up for live poker instead lol

As mentioned by others on twitter, etc. if you play on wsop.com and win you should be going to the cage for your money instead of trying to process a withdrawal online since they aren't in a hurry to do that.
