Disable incognito mode detection in Chrome

Many websites with paywalls are now disabling browsing in Incognito Mode.

    Why?

Because Incognito Mode does not allow the site to track your previous visits, and allows you to get around the type of paywall where they give you X number of free articles per month.

On Chrome, I have found a workaround to disable detection of Incognito mode:

First, in the Chrome address bar (where you enter website URLS), enter: chrome://flags

Next, search for Filesystem API in Incognito by either scrolling down or searching for it by pressing Ctrl-F and typing that.

Once you've found that setting, change it from Default to Enabled.

    Close Chrome.

    Restart.

Now Incognito Mode cannot be detected.

    Happy browsing!
