Of course. Who would be stupid enough to have something like this in their house?

It freaks me out when I start seeing ads about stuff I browsed on my computer yesterday.
    Anyway to stop this?
I already have adware ad blocker.

lol , I have 2 alexas they were for free with purchases at bet buy which included tv, dishwasher , refrigerator . It comes in handy for alerts etc. Randomly sending recorded conversations to people on your contact list is pretty unnerving. Makes sense that spies on you with recording of conversation all broke almost simultaneously. Next is washing machine which sounds like a jet plane when using.

https://vpn.thetop10sites.com/best-v...SAAEgLPRfD_BwE found this for blocking ads

Just because someone gives you something for free, doesn't mean you have to set it up & use it.

Now that you know what you know common sense should apply here. Sell it or unhook it & store it in a closet.

Someone may or may not have known a vulnerability in a certain brand of answering machines in the 1980s, and that someone might have exploited that to listen to conversations taking place in rooms where said answering machines were located.

    Maybe.
