memories of family reunions on this holiday. fighting/wrassling with seldom seen cousins to get reacquainted. unsupervised fun follows as adults hit the beers and spend ridiculous time on grilling. playing chicken with lawn darts, dodge ball with croquet mallets. stealing cigarettes and beers at dusk. lots of "dare you" with bottle rockets, roman candles and firecrackers. knowing we're gonna get the belt at home, but it's worth it. nation's birthday, pfff, couldn't care less.
