    Moneymaker winning the main event+ESPN coverage+Online poker operating in the US with impunity created the perfect storm. He has to get a shit ton of credit for that. He's HOF worthy - most of us wouldn't be here without him.

    Hate how moneymaker gets so much credit. It was the coverage, ppl were sucked in every week. Even a guy like Paul Darden who played a cpl hands as a short stack was a legend. Everything would have ended up the same if the online qualifier moneymaker got like 7th.

    Ya I voted for moneymaker too, without his run and ESPN coverage I would never have played poker

    David Chiu keeps getting perpetually stiffed because he's quiet and boring. But honestly he deserves it.

    The whole poker HOF is a joke, though, and easily rigged. I can dig up the thread discussing it if anyone cares.
