You gotta use reverse psychology on him. You know how well he responds to negative trolling and insults about his capability. Trash talking fires him up. Brings out the Alpha Druff!

    With that thought in mind,...

Druff, seriously consider unbanning Marty. He is THE master at riling you up, and you need a good riling up to perform at peak competitive efficiencies. Do it, man. Just do it.

In the AKs v AA situation I know you sucked out but I'd recommend next time you just go with your gut. If your intuition turns out to be wrong you can just shrug it off with "I went with my read ... unfortunately my read was off on this occasion". There's no self-recrimination or second-guessing yourself. It's much less bothersome than over-ruling your instincts and getting it wrong.

Sounds like you got MILP'd yesterday but I hope you MILP'd them today and MILP up your short stack to MILP the MILPs before the MILP the MILP'd. Live by luck or luck to learn.

The fact that Catrific ran it up to 2.4m and I ran it down to 655k is just even more titing.

Blinds are going to be pretty big, so the deep play is over, anyway.

At least it's only a $500 event where you need to get super lucky for several days in order to cash big, so this isn't a tragedy if I have a bad Day 3.

Just gonna go tomorrow and play, and whatever happens, happens.

If I bust out before 8pm, then I can also go play the O8 Mega Satellite I have planned.

The big one (the $10k O8) is coming up for me on Thursday, so that's where I really want to have my rungood.

Got myself back to 1.475m but then pretty much lost every hand. JJ and TT ate more than half my stack, as blinds were big and I lost both.

The first JJ was against a weird Asian chick with a huge stack. The Belarus guy (loose player) opened early to 110k, I 3-bet to 275k, weird Asian chick makes it 475 after fumbling with her stack for awhile. Called the 200 with exactly 1m behind.

Flop K94, she bet 375, and I mucked. She didn't 4-bet the entire rest of the time I was there, so pretty sure she had me absolutely crushed on the flop, and very possibly preflop as well.

Had black TT UTG. Opened to 110k. Flatted by a straightforward old man and a fairly solid Asian middle aged guy in SB.

Flop Q24 all diamonds. I fired 150k hoping to just take it if they both bricked. Old man folded, Asian called. Turn 3c. He checked, I checked. River 4h.

He fired 275k. Very tempted to hero, as he could have 9d9x or whatever, or even just a naked Ad. Since he saw I only had about 700 behind after I bet my 150, I was wondering why he didn't just check/shove me on flop if he had top pair/better or Ad. So that made me really tempted to call, but something just felt wrong. Also, the 4 on the river was another problem in case he flatted with A4 suited and now had trips.

Anyway after a lot of thinking I laid it down. After I busted, he told me I made a good laydown and he had flopped the flush. I believe him.

Blinds were 25/50/50k for both hands.

Went card dead for some time after that, then got it in with 440k with 30/60/60k blinds with Ah4h in late position (it had folded to me).

Button went all in for 1m. SB, who had like 700k, laid down 99, and was irritated when he saw it was A4 suited versus 66.

However, he was thrilled when flop was Q65. Turn was Jh, making a second heart for me, but brick river and I was gone.

So I busted against 666 and finished in 666th place.

    Weird!

    O8 satellite tonight.

Druff, could properly moderate your own site and move any further talk about your WSOP events to the "Chernobyl" thread.
