    I played the 2018 version.

I couldn't play 19 because they're so paranoid about cheating that they spent a lot of resources figuring out a way to prevent jaibroken devices from playing.

Last year I figured a way around it. This year, after many hours of attempts, I failed and gave up.

I am pretty much an expert at the game though, so feel free to ask me any questions.

    Here's some very basic advice:

    - Don't buy draft picks. Never worth it. If you really want to buy players, do it with mystery boxes.

    - Join a club as soon as you're able, and start collecting the rewards every day from the club finishing in whatever place. Join a higher level club for better rewards. At the end of the season on 2018, I was a member of a Diamond club and kept getting 5000 prime XP over and over just for being there.

    - Don't level past gold until near the game being over (it will end around late March 2020), because the club events will start getting way harder

    - Always look at a player's "maximum" points to reveal how good they are. Don't invest much in players with a low max.

    - Understand that inflation is built into the game, and great players today will be shit in August. So keep that in mind, as well.

Thanks for the tips, yes learning as I go, first year playing but def tricks to when to play and waiting for promos etc. Also on the club vs club events its like ebay, people playing last minutes to get better rewards for high game etc.

Decent graphics though and yes watch a players potential over all before building that guy and wasting energy!

Yeah club vs. club is big to rack up XP.

Get in a high level club which won't kick you (may take several tries to find one), then score at least 10 in each club vs. club and you'll rack up XP fast.

I'm not to big on playing games on my phone, but one of the earlier versions of this game I got hooked on for a short period of time. The thing that drove me away from the game was all the things outside of the games you have to take care of. Then you have to actually play the game which isn't really set up as a great mobile experience. What I like in a mobile gaming is something like Word With Friends, play your turn quickly and be done with it. Phones already have way to many distractions that I get fixated on... Playing 9 innings + setting my team up with packs etc is just way to much to do while I'm on the pot.

I might sound like a bit of an old man but I just download offline playable games and podcasts for travel. I haven't owned a gaming system since ps3 and probably haven't played that in at least 4 years!

Building a team is part of it, we can live out a dream on a phone and the toilet at the same time lol

Currently record sits at 3200 wins 801 loses so .800 and a 72XXX 5 star team rating which is decent I think.

Most all players level 3 platinum and because I am OCD I raise their powers in unison lol

Just hit All Star level 13 as well.

Just dawned on me as I type this with a smile, I need to get a life.

I barely spent any $ on the game and got enjoyment out of it, so that's possible.

Had a pretty decent team, too.

Sucks that I can't play 19, but oh well.

Honestly, yes, about $300 over the last several months which for me is justifiable because of the time/enjoyment I get, cheaper than 10/20 lol

At first I did not and grind it out but once you realize the better your team gets the more gold/xp/xp prime/EVO/money etc you need to continue to improve it. So the advancements you make the first weeks becomes slower and slower. Now I have found and ONLY buy promotions (ads) they suddenly offer me as I am playing the game. For example yesterday I picked up 20,000 Gold and XP for $69!

Where as if you went to the store they want $139 for 10,000 gold

But patience is key here, only buy the BIG ads they offer as you play or dont buy a thing, jmo.

    Do you play?

Wow, that's quite a bit of money for a mobile game! Does anything carry over for you year-to-year? Yes, I've played it but have never spent even a red cent on it. Like I said in my previous post though, I don't spend a lot of time playing games on my phone. If it's something that I can't just look at and immediately play and close out like Words With Friends then I'm basically out. Typically I'll download a game like tap, play it here and there for like a day or two and delete it off my phone.

For some it may be a lot for me its not, I just look at things in different terms I guess.

Do things carry over, no idea fully, I read 2018 did carry over to 2019 but slightly reduced I think since they up the player potential. Hey I have a mid pack team over all but there are guys who without a doubt are spending thousands a month, can only explain their point totals. And funny enough a lot f Asians playing and spending, usernames like hongkongwangers etc lol

The most I ever spent on a mobile game was Tiger Woods 12. I bought it for both the Iphone (work phone) and my Android. That game had me hooked, total golf simulation game without all the extra pack fuss etc. What I enjoyed about it the most was I could play a hole and exit out of it and come back to it again without any issues. Another thing I liked about the game was it was the closet to an actual console game on a mobile device in that time. Graphics were decent, game play was great and I'd honestly pay $20 to have it again. I've tried to go back in the app store / play store and look to re-download a previous purchase but it won't let me. I've seen it available on hacked sites to download but I haven't tried that and I'm not positive how safe that would be.

Another great thing about the game was you could play it off-line, played a ton of holes in career mode with that game on airplane mode.
