Ari Engel is at it again. I saw him on the final break, and he had a good-but-not-great 63k. He finished in 4th place for the day, with 216k.

I also had somewhat of a runup near the end. At one point I was down to 9k, but finished at my high of 59600, winning the final hand on a bluff.

I did bust my first bullet early in level 5, however, getting it in with the nut low draw and open ended straight draw against AAxx, and losing.

A PFA listener and Druff package investor was also at my table, and finished with a short stack, but survived the day.

Here's my table draw, where I hope I deFEET David Williams:

Pavilion 306 1 Maxim Panyak Russia 111,000
Pavilion 306 2 Xiaochuan Zhang China 29,300
Pavilion 306 4 Heath Mendelsohn United States 23,200
Pavilion 306 5 Owais Ahmed United States 32,000
Pavilion 306 6 Todd Witteles United States 59,600
Pavilion 306 7 Julian Powell Australia 79,300
Pavilion 306 8 Lawrence Berg United States 45,100
Pavilion 306 9 David Williams United States 47,200

Not the best draw, as I got a good Russian guy with a big stack, Owais Ahmed (excellent tournament player), and Williams.

Aussie Julian Powell also has some tournament success.

Here's hoping I run well.

There are 417 left. 168 cash. Average stack is 67k, and I'm a bit short of 60k.

I cashed this event last year, but didn't run deep.
