5-month cold spell in California and Nevada leaves high in Vegas at just 67 degrees

    https://www.reviewjournal.com/weathe...-temp-1670414/

This has been the strangest weather year in California and Nevada that I've ever seen.

There's pretty much been a cold spell for 5 months. Almost every single day in 2019 has below average in temperature, most days substantially below average.

I'm still running the heat here in late May.

Las Vegas also had the coldest winter anyone has remembered, and after a period of seemingly warming up, now it's surprisingly cool there again, too.

Vegas also had measurable snow on 5 different days in 2019, when almost all years see nothing more than flurries.

It snowed in my area in February as well, though my house didn't get any. However, we did have many consecutive nights below freezing, and most days in the winter didn't reach 60 degrees here, when the usual weather sees highs in the mid-upper 60s or warmer.

Hmm. Sounds like you are describing a change from the normal climate.

It has been raining way too much where I live in TX. Well, not constantly but a few years ago we had a tremendous drought. Now we get huge downpours multiple times a year. Every single one erodes the shit out unimproved property. I can go see where I'd assume basically soil volume equivalent to 20 large vehicles just gone, washed down the creek, moving back a cliff 15 feet. I used to have an elaborate trail system for dirtbikes but everything changes so much it is a fraction of what it used to be.

Then all that dirt flows into the next lake in the chain. Then they redo their water-intake because it is started to by buried in the lake. At some point lake will be a huuuge pile of mud. I'm curious what they'll do when the lakes fill with mud. It'll likely be after my time.

Things will be changing fairly rapidly. I don't think the models have any real clue how they'll change outside of overall increase in temperature. Sure we can predict weather a few days out.. but . a few decades out? No way. No clue what stasis will be.

Seems to be a lot less sunny days of late and a hell of a lot more overcast in LV.

I was there last week and it was mid to low 50s at night which really killed my business. Druff, I know you are not feeling well, but I could have really used a buffet comp here and there while I was there.

Next time I guess, next time.

Station casinos have fairly cheap buffets for less when you show a players card. I would only consider a few of them as actual options personally though.

    it’s actually pretty genius

somehow, OSA has the ability to sneak into these festivals with a rented suv full of bottled water and Gatorade

He then sells these for huge markups and makes several grand a day

    Gotta respect the hustle

It will barely get above 60 degrees, with rain in the forecast tomorrow is Los Angeles. That is unheard of for the last week of May. And I'm thoroughly enjoying it while it lasts. Summer will come soon enough though, and we'll be in the triple digits, longing for the cool temps.

When I first read 5 month cold spell, I thought that it would be a thread about Druff’s sex life.

How does he get an SUV full of this stuff in there... and better question... how does he sell thousands of dollars worth of this stuff without getting caught and ejected?

These are all very good questions. They could have been answered had you allowed phone calls to your radio show before 2am EST.

If the NBA is going to move west coast games earlier, then so should you and your radio show.

    OSA,
do you think anyone else is doing this?

have you ever spotted someone you knew was probably doing the same thing as yourself?

48 degrees right now at 11:30pm in my area of LA.

Hard to believe I will be playing a WSOP event in 3 1/2 days, since my mind is conditioned to remember warm weather in LA prior to the WSOP starting.

I feel like it's still February.
