Over 50% 0f Americans under 40 years of age to contract Cancer in next 30 years...

Plutonium-239, which has a half-life of 24,100 years is the problem...

Alex Jones openly states that he doesn't know what he's talking about with nuclear energy, and in this case it is exactly this.

There was no "government cover-up" the government could only say what the power companies released. If the power company said "no, there was no meltdown" than that is all the government can do. There is a SHIT TON of security involved in nuclear power and not even government officials can get into one in a timely fashion. The blame here lies solely on the power company.

Now what some people are talking about with this Fukushima crap is "oh, well the numbers look at the numbers. This is horrible, nuclear power is so bad." Truth is it really isn't as bad as people have made it out to be. I stood on top of a mountain in Fukushima 50km away from that plant just a few months ago and I'm fine. The numbers are actually low compared to what you even get exposed to on a yearly basis.

Generation III+ reactors have already worked out the kinks that caused these issues at Fukushima. In regards the diesel generators, this is a huge fault of the power companies again. This has been a known issue for years and there are several companies in the US that have been working on solutions since 5 years before this accident. Since Fukushima it has been put on fast track and are almost out for release here soon.

If anything Fukushima has shown that the need for nuclear power plants to be shore based versus land based. If this occurred to a land based reactor, shit would have got real.

TL;DR - Shit at Fukushima isn't as bad as people think it is. It is not the government cover up, it is a power company cover up. All issues have been resolved (most before Fukushima accident and one after the accident but was worked on before the accident).

Hey I'm all Nuclear power here...

But the fact remains that CANCER will be horrible in the next generation...

Plutonium isn't going to kill me as I'm over 60...But if you're 40 or younger you're in deep sh*t...

Fukushima isn't as bad as people think it is?...Man it's (nuclear reactor) not even contained yet...

We're talking very very minimal nuclear exposure to even surrounding areas. Yeah, the event in itself was bad, but the radiation as a result really isn't as bad as people are talking.

I actually have a guy that was a first responder for help from the US working with me right now. He's been talking about it the last few days.

Pretty useful chart. This was released not too long after the accident. You look at a place like Chernobyl, which they are trying to say Fukushima was worse than (in some regards), which was the Russians truly not having a fucking clue what they were doing and the exposure still in that area is huge compared to what was left in Fukushima after just 2 weeks.

The radiation has been very well contained so far, and there is extremely minimal effects to itself and the surrounding areas currently.

Unless you're standing within about 5 feet of it and breathing on it or eating something it sat on top of, you're not going to get any exposure.

It is an alpha emitter, meaning you need to ingest the radiation because it cannot break the barrier of skin.
