Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias was arrested outside a Los Angeles mall Monday night on suspicion of domestic battery, a Los Angeles Police spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.
Police responded to a report of an argument in a parking lot for the Beverly Center around 7:30 p.m. Urias, 22, was arrested and transported to downtown Los Angeles by police. His bond was set at $20,0000, according to the LAPD.
Urias' arrest comes on the heels of Addison Russell's return to the Chicago Cubs last week after he completed a 40-game suspension for violating Major League Baseball’s Domestic Abuse policy when his ex-wife detailed alleged abuse with MLB officials.
The former prospect was moved out of the starting rotation and into the bullpen in mid-April and registered his second save in five days on Monday.
