Interesting. I didn't bother to look up much about the writer. I googled her picture, and saw she was an average-looking white chick in her late 30s with short hair.

Didn't know she turned out to be a lesbian. Guess that would explain why she had some dates where guys turned her off so easily.
I wouldn't be too surprised if there was more of her in Robert. At the time she was 34ish and she still spent time with students in their 20s. This was after a 7 year relationship had ended. So somewhat rusty and this might have been the first time she dated women. Margot is described as fickle and accidentally cruel in a way that's rare for autobiographical accounts.

This webpage about the author was kinda funny: https://encyclopediadramatica.rs/Kristen_Roupenian

It was through that page where I found one of her odd posts on "MetaFilter", answering a guy looking for advice regarding placing an ad for casual sex.

I'm memailing you a link to a profile that accomplishes this beautifully. (I'm a woman, and it worked on me.)

For what it's worth, it does basically the opposite of everything you're describing: it includes a lot of photos, and a ton of personal information. These are the kinds of things that, on a profile, earn trust. As a woman, if I'm meeting up with a guy with the express purpose of having sex, it's crucial for me to have a good sense of who he is, because the stakes are much higher.

Think about it. There's a lot less leeway going into it than there is if I'm just planning to have a cup of coffee with someone and see where it goes. I can take a risk that a guy I'm just meeting for coffee in a public place might be a murderer, or have a secret girlfriend, or be a raging misogynist; I can't take that risk if within an hour or so we're going to a private place to have sex. I've met up with people for NSA sex a handful of times in my life, and every time I asked for way more personal information (Facebook, Instagram, direct contact info as opposed to dating site contact, heck - first & last name) than I did for random dates.

It sounds to me like you're thinking of it like this: I have lower standards for the people I'd have NSA sex with than people I'd date, so I ought to have a different profile that let's people know that! Whereas for me, the opposite holds true: my standards for someone who I'm going to have casual sex with are much, much higher. I'll meet for coffee with anyone who seems basically interesting; I meet for sex only with people who are not only very physically attractive (I'd never in a million years reach out to someone who didn't have photos) but who signal in all those subtle class-based ways - including having good grammar and good taste in books - that they're likely to see casual sex in the same way I do, and to be respectful, communicative, open, pro-choice, knowledgeable about safe sex, etc.

The only difference (if there is one) between your NSA sex profile and your dating one, if you must have two profiles, is that your sex one should state explicitly that you're looking for casual sex, and what your definition of 'casual' is (i.e., are you looking for a one night stand or a regular friend-with benefits, etc.) That's it.

    Good luck!
You can find it here: https://ask.metafilter.com/292616/Wh...for-casual-sex

The part which is especially off-putting in that response is where she talks about only meeting guys for casual sex who were "very physically attractive". This is from a woman who, at best, is average looking herself. Reminds me all too much of the meme of the fat zit-faced guy saying, "Wouldn't bang her, elbows too pointy."

She used to post on that site as "pretentious illiterate", but disabled her account shortly after blowing up huge, and not wanting some of her posts there to embarrass her.

Apparently she sold the rights to this and some other short stories for $1.2 million. Wow. https://www.elle.com/culture/books/a...ten-roupenian/

Speaking from personal experience in my younger and quite ignorant days, a lot of non-lesbian women are turned off by the heavy handed manual pawing, speedy position gymnastics, and crude verbalizations that sexually inexperienced men are fooled into thinking women find sexy by your run-of-the-mill porn flick.
Look in the mirror lately? That's likely what they were turned off by. With all due respect.

This guy has zero game. This girl is 20 and has never had fantastic sex. They are both neurotic as hell.

Read the story. Don't think either of them are bad people or did anything wrong really. He's useless with women and she's shallow/can't make her mind up. Neither of those mean they are bad people. Don't understand the hype from SJWs or right-wingers eager to discredit SJW.

The Encycopedia Dramatica article I posted described the hype as, "Cat Person struck a chord because it expressed collective horror among feminist aggrocunts about a universal experience: the time they had sex with a lonely overweight dude unworthy of their hot college bods."

Though Encyclopedia Dramatica is basically a troll version of Wikipedia, mostly about internet culture, I think that statement basically nails it.

The story reminded a lot of women about their college-aged days where they kinda-sorta liked a not-so-attractive guy, messed around with him, and then by the time sex was about to happen, they were grossed out but were afraid to say no at that point.

When these women read "Cat Person", they thought, "OMG that was totally me at age 20", and they shared it with other women, who then had the same reaction, and it kept getting shared and started going viral.

Then, on top of that, you had males and SJWs with their different takes on it, and suddenly it became a big thing. Now the author is getting $1.2 million for what is honestly just a mediocre short story with a dumb ending.

    Nice life.

I actually found this story recently through a woman on my Facebook who shared it.

She's close to my age, and I've known her for almost 30 years, though we've never dated.

She absolutely loved the story, and in fact didn't agree with the flaws I pointed out. Having messed around with some guys she really wasn't all that into, having dudes lash out at her when she rejects them (especially on dating sites), and dealing with guys whose interest level seems to jump all over the place, she felt that the story basically spoke to her.

She didn't even agree that the Margot character was shallow -- just "young and inexperienced".

    Here’s most likely what happened:

Girl accepts attention from boy below her standards because she is lonely.
    Boy and girl drink alcohol.
    Girl goes home with boy.
Boys sucks in bed (remember, he’s drunk too).
Girl leaves early next morning, blames her bad judgment on alcohol.
Boy later sees girl at bar.
Boy probably can’t even remember half that night.
Boy texts girl for another hookup, doesn’t go over since she’s with friends.
    Boy gets shot down.

No harm, no fouls committed by either party.

You’re just envious that your autobiographical accounts of your sexual adventures are only published on a website that you run at a small loss.

Guy feels used at the end which is why he lashes out.

Girl is too chicken to say what she wants or doesn’t want....has been with 7 guys at the age of 20....that’s a bit high.

    Absolutely horrible.

It was like the author was intending for Margot to be the hero, Robert the villain, and then realized that she wrote the story in such a way to where certain people might exit the story with sympathy for Robert. Rather than doing a rewrite in order to convey a different message, the author probably decided, "You know what? I'll just have Robert step totally out of character at the end and abruptly become outwardly obsessive, crass, and vindictive. Let's see here... I'll write about 10 consecutive short-but-crazy texts from him for the story's ending... annnnnnnnnnnnnd.... done! Perfect! Now he's the villain for sure!
I agree the ending is bad. But I doubt the author hastily tacked it on at the end to reinforce Robert as the villain. I can almost guarantee that the author wrote that exact ending first. It's a common writing process to start with an intriguing ending and build back from there. The ending is bad but it's effective for the intended audience. Without that specific ending, nobody is talking about this short story. I think the ending is bad because, as you point out, it betrays Robert's character development leading up to the finale and it creates a unfortunate caricature out of Robert. She likely had that ending in mind, wrote the rest of the story, and paradoxically developed Robert's character throughout the story with TOO MUCH nuance. Kind of a Catch 22 for the author. Write a realistic ending and catch nobody's attention or include a sensational but flawed ending and go viral. Almost every writer is willing to sell out and choose the latter.

Also, suck my nuts you whores.

Mom allegedly had sex with both her daughters’ teen boyfriends

    https://nypost.com/2019/04/17/mom-al...en-boyfriends/

A California mom may serve time after she had sex with both of her own daughters’ boyfriends — who were each high school freshmen when she stole them away from the girls, officials said.

Coral Lytle, of Tulare, pleaded guilty in March to 21 sex-related charges including unlawful sexual intercourse, oral copulation and contacting a minor for sex, news station KFSN reported.

But a disagreement over the 41-year-old mom’s sentencing Monday has caused a delay in the case and could now allow her to withdraw the plea, according to KFSN.

Lytle was accused of having sex on multiple occasions with the two Redwood High School students between September and October 2017.

Prosecutors said the mom provided alcohol and cigars to the underage boys, and would drive from her home to them for the raunchy rendezvous.

“The crimes in this case committed by the defendant involved great cruelty and callousness especially considering the defendant took advantage of a position of trust to molest two boys who she met when they (were in) teenage dating relationships with the defendant’s daughters,” prosecutors wrote in recent filings.

Authorities were initially notified when one of teen boys reported the “inappropriate relationship” with Lytle.

“[The victim] stated this was the last time he had sex with [Lytle] because he felt bad shaking [Lytle’s] husband’s hand knowing what he was doing with [Lytle],” prosecutors said.

Lytle appeared in court Monday, where the initial plea agreements collapsed as multiple judges disagreed over her sentence.

A judge indicated at a hearing in early March that she would likely be sentenced to three years in prison, but then a different judge who oversaw her enter the plea last month said he would offer her one year in county jail with a suspended six-year sentence.

Then a third judge said Monday he didn’t believe the sentence was appropriate and set another hearing for the following week.

The new hearing will enable the mom to withdraw her plea, prosecutors said.

Only super-hot women should get off for fucking kids.

How about that she gets life in prison for being butt fucking ugly?
