    Worst online poker software ever?

    Introducing the new Bovada client.

    How much does it suck?

    Let me count the ways....

    1) Chips being bet are tiny and almost require a magnifying glass to see

    2) Player balances are tiny and almost require a magnifying glass to see

    3) Lots of empty red space for no apparent reason

    4) Tons of useless bullshit on the right side, taking up space

    5) Hand history and hand replayer have been separated, and you can't see hole cards on the hand replayer

    Some more problems:

    6) Colors are super bright

    7) No way to turn off animations, and some are bothersome after awhile

    8) Fold and Call buttons pop up in the same place depending upon whether it's your action or someone else's, leading to inevitable misclicks

    9) Some people (not me) are experiencing far more disconnects and freezes than before

    10) "Rabbit" feature slows the game down big time now. You can turn it off, but still.

    11) There is no pot in the center anymore. Just small text saying the pot amount.

Two tips I can give you:

    - You can close that awful sidebar by clicking the little "square-x" looking button on the top right. You'll lose the chat and the list of who won each hand, but them's the breaks. This will also make the text and chips a little bit bigger.

    - To see mucked cards at showdown, click the two cards button near the top left. It will bring up the printed hand history on the main client, and show you the hole cards. The hand replayer is fail and doesn't show you that info, so don't bother with it.

Still a huge fail, and nearly everyone hates it.

The only positive thing I see is that the rebuy bug has been fixed.

Nitrogen sports/poker and global poker use the exact same shitty software, I forget what it is.

Horrible update for sure which Druff names a majority of the bad things about it.

To show this really quick I sat down at some random low limit nl cash table but this is what the 9 max mtt/cash tables will look like tiled (to play 4 tables) with the stupid sidebar option checked:

So basically your right side of the tables will be hidden and while it's fine to turn that off in cash during MTTs the details tab telling where you are say 5th of 80 left with blinds going up in 5 minutes, etc. stuff is in this spot and you won't be able to to leave that on for many standard 1920x1080 monitors without overlapping the tables in some funky way.

The biggest issue is these bright colors and tiny fonts strain the hell out of my eyes these days.

You can bet recs won't like this ugly look either.

The client is also more resource intensive hogging up additional cpu and memory usage than it did before.

Maybe I'm not understanding something here.....but isn't this antithetical to how poker is supposed to be played? You can just see all mucked cards?

In live poker, it's considered bad etiquette to ask to see a mucked hand on showdown (the hands that didn't fold by the end), so it's rarely done.

Online poker is different, as this information is made available to everyone, since there's no way to ask the dealer to show a particular mucked hand, and there's no such thing as online poker etiquette.

Theyd have been better off using PokerMavens then that shit they "developed" and put into the production side.. Seriously the crap Bovada put out makes PFAs poker site look like a top tier like Pokerstars or Partypoker.. WTF did somebody do a timewarp and go back to 2003??

Players on there so aggro, you gotta call down with K high and even Q high.

Yes, I called the river both times.

Yes it is so bad, sad part is they had enough room if they upsized the graphics to make a better client. Also the bright color options are super aids, can't even get a fucking green table anymore ... teal is not fucking green

sad times for American poker players

Just to add , playing from phone, if you sit out next BB or hand you can't leave table as before. The exit table option does not open due to pop up with option to sit back in. Thank goodness the the little rabbit peels off on the rabbit card. I would not know what that card was for otherwise. Lol. The update as a whole is a cluster ****.
Is there a reason why someone would think this is an upgrade? Someone gets paid to make these changes? Someone approves it? It's a joke right? They don't want poker anymore? I dont get it at all.

Cubeia is the horrible software used by Nitrogen and global a player was somehow able to get into the code and calculate won loss after global ceased offering 10 20 nl and plo games due to people using scripts, camped out pros looking to fleece fish at unhealthy stakes.

There's also the missing card bug, which some have experienced:

If you get rid of the rectangle on the right it's not ideal but not too bad. The main issue I have is they got rid of the box at the bottom left of the
table that lets you know how many players are left and what place you're in. That is a joke! I have to open the lobby to look. When I have 5 or 6 going at
a time it's very difficult. Something new that came up last night was that the extra time doesn't kick in if the raise is bigger than your stack. Another fail.
On the bright side, i got 2nd in the $150 for $4,500 and change last night. I have noticed most of the nightly tournaments are down by 20 to 30%. At least that
will get them to deal with it.

The big problem is when many of these sites decided to focus so much on mobile poker that they integrate that mobile client into an actual Windows/Mac based client so anyone not playing on mobile has to suffer playing on a client with mobile graphics/feel on their computers. It's all started back on here when the little loading bar 1% 10%, 97% (number it got stuck loading on a lot) ,etc...

So many old bugs in the old software have carried over such as the repetitive "Unable to process your request at this time" popup that spawns a few times here and there that means nothing has really changed. At least you haven't been forced to close these boxes immediately like a year ago you had to before you could click on other tables.

The whole new layout is ugly but they best we can hope for is bigger cards, better use of empty space where we make our game play actions, and some solid color backgrounds that are easier on the eyes compared to all the easter color options only that we have now.

the bright colors are really awful for two reasons:

    - if you are color blind (like I am partially), the table and the cards blend in too much. It's actually kinda hard to see the damn cards, even on a big television like I use for MTT grinding

    - as noted above, the new software uses up more GPU. Brighter colors can expend more energy on a graphics card......as supposed to black, which I have no idea how this was left out as an option.

it seems with every update, they do more and more to get us to play on there less and less

Sitting out next BB or hand has been fixed. Still on zone fast folding only to be calling as the fold button becomes a call in a blink. So I'm slowing down my play and waiting to fold which could be what many are doing. Also noticed the guaranteed tournaments last night exceeded the guarantee. So people are playing regardless as am I.
