After Trump loses the election in 2020 and Brexit is finally approved.

He moves to London and is annotated King of England.

Good Riddance. The English deserve hIm.

Friendly reminder that for the last three years, liberal politicians and the money that controls them tried to overturn a referendum in which 17,410,742 people voted to leave.

The UK was a country of 65.65 million at the time. For Americans to understand the voter turnout for this, compare the percentage of voters for leaving to our presidential election that year by percentage of population. It would have been roughly 85.769 million votes for, a staggering number. Hillary, who won the popular vote, received 65.854 million votes. (Obama, the most popular candidate in recent history, never received more than 69.5 million votes.)

This would have quite possibly ended the Union, and if something like this was pulled here, rightfully so.

What planet are you on? Brexit is more likely to break the union than anything else.

This will lead to Scottish Exit from the UK and a United Ireland.

Look how Scotland voted compared to England. They’re gone.

Look at Northern Ireland - more nationalist parties won than unionists. They’re gone.

And look at the election result.

Tories won the most seats, but remain parties won more votes than leave parties.

I think that we should go through with the result of the referendum, but the fact is that most brits now want to remain (and voted accordingly).

Don’t twist this for your own agenda.

VaughnP: Libtard lacks reading comprehension, rejects reality of Brexit, and had no idea that all brits who wanted to watch online porn were on the verge of needing the equivalent of a license to do so.

    https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...cy-was-dropped

The government’s initial plan was to require every pornography provider to verify that visitors were over 18, with steep fines from the BBFC threatened for those that failed to adopt a robust verification scheme. In practice, that was expected to be one of a number of plans provided by third parties, which included credit card checks, scans of government ID, and “porn passes” purchased from newsagents.

But difficulties in the implementation of the programme pushed the adoption date back, first to April 2019, and then to the end of this year. On 16 October, the culture secretary, Nicky Morgan, announced it was to be abandoned entirely in favour of a broader “duty of care” for all websites.

Remember that though this has recently been dropped, likely only temporarily until something else is put into place, that it still passed in your country.

While it's often called the ‘UK porn block’ that name is not entirely accurate. The age verification law is, in reality, part of section 25 of the Digital Economy Act, which has a number of sections relating to online legislation.

The process works like this: once July 15 2019 arrives, adult websites will need to show a splash screen to UK users when they arrive on the site. This interstitial screen must contain no adult material at all and should inform visitors that they must prove they are over 18 years old in order to continue.

If a user is able to use an approved age verification system then they'll enter these details, which will likely be a non-identifying username and password. If they don't have these details then the site might explain how to get them, but you won't be able to access the site without providing them...or that's the idea.

All adult sites, whether hosted or based in the UK or not, will need to support this. Sites which don't support it may face a fine or be blocked in the UK entirely (or both). Eventually, when the scheme has been running for a couple of months, users will be able to report non-compliant sites.

The British Board of Film Classification has been chosen to administer the scheme. It won't provide age ID checks itself but it will approve providers who do. It will be responsible for fining non-compliant sites and, if needed, requesting ISPs block those which don't verify age adequately.

The stated goal of the UK 'porn block' is to protect children. The UK government says that young people are too easily able to see hardcore adult video and there is a need to protect them from stumbling across it by accident. You won't find many people who disagree with that sentiment.

However, the result will be that all consenting adults will need to jump through hoops to prove that they are old enough to access things they're legally entitled to.

And to answer your neg rep:
    - I’m not a liberal. Our Conservative party are more liberal than your democrats. I’m a socialist.
    - I said brexit should be done. I do not reject the reality. It’s just not a majority view anymore
    - I do know the porn law was proposed but it did not become law. So what the fuck you talking about? There’s an endless list of idiotic bills which didn’t come laws, in every country.

So funny when Americans call socialists “liberals”. You don’t understand what class war is? You’ve never read Marx? He hated liberals. I hate liberals. I’m a socialist.

The word liberal just has a different meaning here than the original term. In the US liberal is basically equivalent to progressive or socialist.

And true liberals are labelled as right wing Nazi lovers.

Words have different meaning in different places. It is what it is. But I agree it creates confusion when comparing political parties across different countries or even different time periods within the same country.

we in the US have a category called Libertarians, which basically means free of government involvement...I believe UK et al call those folks Liberals, originally derived from "liberated from control by the monarchy"

US conservatives to share much philosophically with Libertarians re: low taxation & limited regulation

Sufferers from schizophrenia can become fixated on a completely erroneous belief (e.g. the government is sending them coded messages) and construct incredibly elaborate theories which justify their false view of reality.

Anyone telling you that most Brits don't want Brexit is suffering from a similar delusion. Every vote we've had over the last few years - and there's been plenty - has been won by the side promising to implement Brexit. Despite this you still hear the nonsense that the majority don't want Brexit. Yes they do!

In the recent election Boris Johnson (Slogan "Get Brexit Done") got 44% of the vote and the Brexit Party got 2%. Labour (official position have second referendum) got 32%. You only need a tiny proportion of Labour voters to want Brexit - and many of them do - to achieve a majority.

i have ultra-liberal facebook friends that are 100% freaking out about how badly the conservatives steamrolled the labour party, believing the democrats need to nominate a centrist or the same thing will happen here

(These post were right before the midterms last year.)

Trump approval rating was polling on biased averages of "reliable polls" at around 42% last time I looked, over 44% among likely voters. Without accounting for the extreme lopsidedness of California voters that polling failed to factor into predictions in 2016, Trump is close to a lock at this point based on historical data. Above 45% is a lock - factor out the California problem, realizing it's all about the swing states, and he is almost surely above the 45% line with likely voters.

You're way off base. Libertarians are a special breed of Yank in that they aren't armed. They are nothing like Liberals found in civilized countries. Liberals are social democrats for the most part.
