Due to unexpected family responsibilities, I am likely going to miss the $1000 Double Stack NL event on June 9.

There is a small chance I will be able to play it, but it is now looking likely I will miss it.

I tried to look for a replacement event during the time I will be in Vegas, but unfortunately I could not find one.

Therefore, even though I said I am not selling the $888 Crazy Eights event, I have decided to swap that for the $1k NL Double Stack, if and only if I miss the $1000 NL Double Stack. If I can somehow make the Double Stack, then you will NOT have a piece of the $888 event. (Also note that the $888 event is a few weeks later.)

Obviously I will post an update on this when the time comes, or when I know for certain.

Now, since $888 and $1000 are not equal, you are all due a refund if this swap occurs. The refund would be $0.67 per share.

As these events are very similar (both NL, both approximately same buyin level and similar skill of opponents), I do not anticipating anyone having a problem with this.

However, if you do, please get a hold of me, and I can give you a refund for that event only ($6 per share), and you will NOT be swapped into the $888. But I doubt any of you will have any issues with this.

If you're fine with the above, you don't need to do anything, and I will make the swap and refund accordingly if necessary.

I apologize for this issue, but there was nothing I could do to avoid it.

Update: I put some work into this, and might be able to avoid missing the $1k Double Stack event.

So now there's a decent chance I can make it. Stay tuned.

Updates:

I have not missed any events yet. However, I did only use one bullet in the Mixed Omaha, so you guys will get a refund for that one ($8.98/share).

I cashed two events on Package #1 so far:

$1500 PLO8 30th place (out of 1117): $6687 ($33.43 per share)
$1500 Mixed Omaha 100th place (out of 717): $2249 ($11.25 per share)

$53.66/share owed to everyone right now on Package #1. $3000 Limit Holdem and $1100 satellite to $10k Limit Holdem still haven't been played.

For Package #2, zero is owed to anyone right now, but $10k Limit Holdem hasn't been played yet.

The Big Fofty, where I finished 666th out of 28,000 or so entries (and cashed), was not part of any package.

Update:

I did not play the $3k Limit Holdem on July 8 -- for a great reason! I was still in the WSOP Main (and haven't busted yet, as of this post!)

Therefore, all investors in Package #1 will get a $17.96/share refund.

This means all package #1 shareholders will get paid $71.62/share. That stake is over.

I failed to cash in either of the two $10k events I played for Package #2, so that package pays zero. Sorry.

Thank you for investing in me. Once again, I had a very deep run (30th in PLO8, similar to my 33rd in $1500 NL last year), and just fell short when the cards ran out. We will hit something big on the package one of these years.

Despite the fact that I had a good and profitable WSOP overall, it didn't fall that well for those holding pieces.

Of the three $10k events I played, I sold only two, and the third one (the Main Event) is where I cashed the $59k, whereas I bricked the two I sold.

Of the other events, I was 1/2 in cashing ones I didn't sell ($3273 from the Big Fofty), through only a $1388 investment in buyins. However, in the ones I sold, while I had a deep run with the PLO8 (30th out of 1117), I only cashed that and one other.

That's how it falls sometimes. At the PLO8, I was pretty close to scoring some big money, but I missed every flop on Day 3.

Anyway, Package #1 still didn't do too badly. Everyone gets $71.63 per share, which means you get 71% of your money invested BACK.
