Saw this a bit earlier today, and was curious as to the reason. It was last Friday, 4:20 EDT, 1:20 PDT.

Can figure what was so important, though. Did someone with a lot of followers link to here from twitter or something? What caused the rush?

I own a forum and a lot of times those big surges are just caused by bots.

We sometimes get traffic spikes from me linking something from Twitter that people find interesting.

For example, a lot of people came to read my detailed report of the 22k theft at the Rio, since I was the only one with accurate details on what happened (thanks to talking to the victim's girlfriend at my WSOP table.)

Not sure what it was on July 20th that brought people here. I don't think I tweeted anything significant on that day.

I think it might have just been a google thing. The Aurora shooting happened that day, and google must have picked up a term that brought a lot of people here.

Kevmath retweets are indeed a big factor.

Basically if I am tweeting something that a lot of people are interested in (and haven't already seen elsewhere), we get a lot of people.
