lulz, "I just won a big election." says it all. She doesn't give a fuck about doing anything good. She is only there for the power. LAME.
On a side note I was watching a youtube about people who have been time travelling and apparently this dude traveled back in time from like 200 years in the future and his message was that global warming destroyed the Earth. HE PASSED A LIE DETECTOR TEST.
Ship it crucial
What she just said was absolutely abhorrent. Some days I would think the footage was manipulated etc but it obviously wasn't here. As dumb/ignorant as this woman has been in the past decades and obv currently still is, I never thought for the life of me that she would talk to CHILDREN like this. I dont care if the children rehearsed this shit or whatever the case is, as a politician addressing your constituents, you dont fucking talk to people like that...especially CHILDREN. This cunt needs to retire. She is a textbook example of why we need term limits
That aside, lets not lump all people on the right into this. Im not a right or left winger either. I would say the same exact thing if the political ideologies were reversed.

Welcome to California. Don’t mind us we sold our soul a LONG time ago.
Copious amounts of marijuana and alcohol is how we Californians survive.
Not sure how it’s possible but seems like literally everyone in that video is wrong one way or another.
Yeah there's totally no problem with brainwashing little kids to do your political bidding, and then have a big group of them repeatedly hassle an 85-year-old politician on camera.
Not manipulative at all.
Hmmmm. Yeah, but you forgot one thing - the coast will be under water from these caps supposedly melting. Worst case, we will simply build the desalination plants closer to middle America.
Also, even if that didnt happen, the way I see it is that much of middle America, especially the northern areas, will survive just fine. Not only do we have the Great Lakes, but we also don't have to count on snow melt draining off of a mountain in order to fund our water supply and keep our lakes topped off (like California for example). Much of our supply is spring fed, which while still can be of course depleted, would still probably last longer since it is underground...and without the need for critical desalination plants.
Not related to the debate, but a fun fact I enjoy sharing: I can literally drive to a spring in an undisclosed location that I occasionally use (which I will keep confidential). I simply pull off of the road to what looks like a tiny tiny rest stop/turn around area and walk about 15 feet into the trees. There is literally a pipe that was installed decades ago and out of it flows awesome crystal clear great tasting spring water... not even kidding. And yes, its free. You haven't tasted honest to goodness spring water until you've tasted this glorious beverage. My dad showed it to me when I was very young and I still cant believe its still operational and it was never assholishly capped off or anything. I will fill my jugs and bring them home every time I get a chance to drive by; it flows so fast that I could for example fill a 5 gallon bucket in about 30 seconds. Try this water and you will sit there in shock and wonder what the fuck they are actually filling these "spring water" bottles you buy in the store.

"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs
The East coast is fucked but the West coast gets off pretty easy actually. We're losing a bit of ocean front property relatively speaking but nothing too disruptive. Kinda funny when you think about we're the ones trying to lead the way and we're the least fucked. Great Lakes are gonna be a ridic valuable resource. I'll be rooting for y'all Midwesterners in your war with Canada
10 feet of ocean rise is so devastating to Los Angeles

The truth is there really isn't much the US is going to do at this point to stem the tide of climate change, as China and India and other developing countries continue to ramp up their industrialization. Maybe we could do some stuff as a symbolic gesture, but practically won't do much.
At this point I think we have to accept the Earth is fucked and work towards colonization in space. I am guessing China has basically already decided this is how it is going to be, which is why they dont really care about what they are doing to the Earth.
