Great shout. It was called the Pink Echo and was printed then shipped out shortly after full time. Would always get one in the boozers around the ground about 45 mins after the match. Was greatly anticipated by everyone and still missed to this day (I think they ceased production about 15 years ago). Though they tried a Sunday Pink Echo instead, but it just wasn't the same.
Those were the days though mate. 3pm Saturday kick off's and no phones. I'd give anything for Sky to fuck off and go back to how it was during the '80s & early '90s

It was a big part of life back then . Southend played on a Friday night like I think Tranmere did , then I’d spend my YTS money watching Man Utd around London.
In the 00’s I’d watch West Ham and I had a rich Chelsea mate(still have) who had corporate seats at Stamford Bridge, roast dinner, heated seats never the same but it was all about the drinking and sniff.
The smoking ban killed it for me , I was in my 30’s being thrown out of toilets for having a roll up.. like you said Sky won ...
