Lifelong Pats fan. I was there when they were losing to the yuckineres to go 2-14 on the season. I was there for the snow bowl (you rubes know this as the “tuck rule” game).
I like your chances for a parade. Kills me to say it.
a pittburgh tv station actually used this chyron on monday
they later fired the staffer responsible
Yes I will be there.
Brady is gonna have his victory parade in L.A and I'll be there counting my money.
I don't want to give away my age to show how long I've been a suffering Rams fan, but there once was a time when Joe Namath was on the Rams roster and, in exchange for doing some extra household chores, my mom was kind enough to take me to the Rams summer training camp one day to catch a live view of him in a Rams uniform.
Just wish the line could somehow get to Rams +3.5.
My understanding is all the (square) money that has come in so far has been on the Patriots and the books and sharps are just in a staring contest right now to see who will break first (the books by moving the line to 3 or sharps taking 2.5)
They have parades for teams that come in 2nd place in the Super Bowl?
The L.A. Rams are a great team, way better than the Saint Louis Rams ever dreamed of being.
If this game was being played straight up, the Rams would probably win.
However, the Patriots know how to cheat and Belichick has paid off the refs.
The end result is already guaranteed.
Well that was awful.
Classic PFA style ...
give him props he owned up to it.
Me and Tony bout dat paper
Sorry Joe I am out
As a long time mostly suffering Rams fan, I thought I'd go down memory lane in advance of the upcoming NFC title game vs the 49ers. Also some great John Madden in the videos too.
Back in 1989, the Rams had Jim Everett as their quarterback, Henry Ellard at Wide Receiver and the great Jackie Slater. A stud Kevin Greene on defense. John (USC) Robinson was the head coach.
The Rams went into Giants Stadium and won the Divisional Title in overtime, when Willie Flipper Anderson caught a pass from Everett and just kept running through the endzone and straight into the lockeroom.
[sorry video apparently blocked on this site by NFL]
That win versus the Giants set up the NFC Title Game of the beloved Rams against the SF 49ers. The Niners of course were still loaded at that time, with Montana, Rice, John Taylor, Ronnie Lott, Matt Millen, Roger Craig and Tom Rathman. Bill Walsh was gone but the dynasty remained.
Nevertheless, us Rams fans were pumped up, having Jim Everett at QB and coming off that exciting OT win to get the NFC Title Game.
Then the unimaginable happened - the phantom sack
The Rams got slaughtered by the Niners 30-3, John Robinson was fired a few years later and replaced by Chuck Knox (yes Chuck Knox in the 1990s). The Rams eventually moved to St Louis and we had to wait until 1999, with legendary Dick Vermeil out of long term retirement and underdog Kurt Warner at QB to get a Super Bowl victory in 1999.
I'm not spending $4,000 on bad seats this weekend, but here's hoping for a Rams victory over SF!
