I wonder how much his backers get off the top.

And I wonder if people flew to the PCA to collect old debts before he inevitably blows it.

I played with Daniel Strelitz at the WSOP in 2018. I got moved to his tabel, shortly after I cashed with average chips. He was to my right, but I was missing every flop, and it was a pain in the ass to be against an aggro guy like him when that's happening.

Let's not forget Chino's pinnacle of achievement in theft and degeneracy:

In 2013, he was staked by Guy Laliberte himself for $111k to enter that year's One Drop event.

Guy foolishly did not have someone walk Chino to the cage, buy him in, and inform WSOP staff not to refund it under any circumstances (or, alternatively, buy him in just as the touranment starts, and walk him over and make sure he plays at least 1 hand, thus making it non-refundable.)

Instead, Guy just handed him the cash. Chino immediately headed for the baccarat table, and lost it all. He then no-showed the event without any explanation.

The year I finished second in the limit hold’em event, Chino, Liz Lieu, and Dutch Boyd were all at my table on day two. They pretty much donked off their chips to some “amateur” who they kept folding on the river (in limit, lol), so I have fond memories of ol’ Chino.

I forget the player but remember an interview where the guy won like $1 million+ and is asked what he’s going to do with the money. He says probably pay off some debts. The interviewer says and what about the rest? He replies, “they’re just gonna have to get in line.”
