re: Diamondbacks...well maybe they won't be in it at the end

but tomorrow they have Robbie Ray going, who was injured for the 1st part of last year, but finished strong over the last two months, is in his peak years (27), and was all all star in 2017

so before handing the Dodger division title, lets see another game at least

as they say, in baseball momentum from todays win is as good as the starting pitchers for tomorrows game

The D-Backs are awful. There's no question. They basically waived the white flag in the offseason.

If anyone will threaten the Dodgers, it will be the Rockies. But it's very likely the Dodgers will take their 7th consecutive division title.

Don't sleep on the Padres yet. They have ammo to acquire help at the trade deadline if they want. Wouldn't surprise me to see them sign Keuchel now as well. Promoting the kids early, theyre going all-in now.

Most exciting team in SoCal baseball. I saw someone (not me) pick:
    1)Padres
    2)Rockies
    3)Dodgers

Dodgers hit some BP yesterday. Settle down. There are some serious-as-a-heart-attack pitching questions. Fielding will suck.

Really want to watch more diversity in baseball this year but days with no early games (today) are brutal. Earliest is 2am MSK.

I just heard there are actually more Chinese NBA viewers than U.S. The Chinese can be found watching that trash on the subway on their way to work.

It’s interesting to me that, like wrestling, half the value of the NBA is off court yet the Chinese still follow. The twitter and the back story is a huge element that they miss. Why are they tanking, not playing, etc. etc.

Why did Kyrie and Durant buy condos in New York? People love soap operas and similar trash more than sports.

You seem like a good kid. Don’t be like the Chinese.

Since Sanlmar likes bashing the Red Sox almost as he does the Dodgers, here's a discussion topic:

    Nate Eovaldi.

Never understood the fascination with this guy.

He started on the Dodgers. Went 2-8 with mediocre ERA/WHIP numbers.

He was a full time starter in 2012, after splitting time between the bullpen and rotation during the second half of '11.

In that time, his SECOND BEST ERA was last year's 3.81, and this third best was 4.15.

Last year, he managed a WHIP of 1.126. Every other year of his career, it's been 1.3xx or 1.4xx.

He's not bad, but he's not good.

    The Sawks signed him 4y/$68m.

Why? Because he pitched well in the 2018 postseason.

    Big deal.

Today's bet on the Mariners was as much on Kikuchi as it was against the overrated Eovaldi.

Apparently Justin Turner, who is no spring chicken at 34 years old, took the offseason seriously.

Concerned about Father Time derailing his late-started career, he actually went to the trainer's office just a day after the '18 World Series, and started an offseason regimen.

Also, he seems to be the most bothered of any Dodger regarding the back-to-back World Series losses. He recently said that he "won't ever forget" the trauma of losing those World Series, even if the Dodgers come back to win several in a row.

The guy's always had a very good attitude regarding the success of the team.

Funny how the Mets believed he was a clubhouse cancer and a non-hustler who wasn't worth re-signing at the $500k minimum. What did you think of that one, Tickle? Honestly one of the dumbest moves I've seen in awhile.

    That’s recency bias for ya.

Let’s see if we can think of another example.

Hmm. I got one. Joe “Machine Gun” Kelly. Sawks fans were as shocked as anyone with his World Series performance.

Not as egregious @ 3/$25m but if that’s the price of a tryout these days ....

Generally, the guy is a heart attack.

You’re gonna enjoy him a lot. Wait.... you already have.

its just past midnight on 3/30 and that awful team is tied with the mighty Dodgers 4-4 going into the 12th inning

I didn't realize that winning teams have to go 162-0.

Kelly was a bad signing though. If it weren't for him, this game would be long over.

You couldn’t pay me to watch basketball. Baseball is my 4th favourite sport and I’m in deep in all four - reading articles, watching games, listening to podcasts. I don’t have enough time to have a 5th... (and if I did it would be rugby)

    Wait, what's the top 3?

For me 4 is enough also, all the pro leagues
    1. NFL
    2. MLB
3-4. NBA or NHL, depending on how I'm feeling about my teams, don't care enough to bet on them.
