It’s been pretty sweet. I may be watching more Indians than you.
Astros around the corner. That’s gonna be a lot of fun. What’s the buzz like in Cleveland?
I’m like an hour from Cleveland on Ohio/PA border, and I have been spending most of my free time in Pa. In Youngstown, everyone is an Indians fans. I think most are realistic. At least all my friends are and local radio.
It’s been a nice season thus far. Honestly, this front office and Tito never piss me off really. I’m just content they’ve held it together this year. I’d prefer a different owner who didn’t buy at the top of the market years ago, but given their constraints, I have zero complaints. I don’t think they’re anywhere near good enough to take down the Yankees or Astros unless they happen to get all their pitchers healthy and in great form at the right time. Salazar looked like a shell of himself yesterday topping out at 87 and is already back on 10 day for groin pull, which is puzzling as to why they even threw him. Not promising. My first thoughts on the trade are positive because they desperately need offense and they’ve had a good track record of late developing pitchers, so I like the move.
I’m curious what you and gut think? I don’t follow the league anywhere near as close as you guys do. Obviously I’ve seen a lot of Puig, but don’t know much about Reyes beyond his raw stats. Did you think it was a good trade?
Most here are happy at the prospect of some offensive help and the trade was well received. My dad and I both watch almost every game. My fathers wife is an absolute diehard on another level who never misses an inning even if she’s working or traveling. She’s optimistic, but she’s always optimistic. My dad and her grabbed one of those dugout suites for the next two on sat/Sunday against the Angels, so the move has certainly created some new excitement to get up there for them.
