    The streak is over.

Dodgers were 10-0 in the 2010s in playoff games I attended.

I wanted to go yesterday, but was too sick. Went today instead.

Dodgers failed to get a baserunner in first 4 2/3 innings.

Kershaw gave up 3 runs before the seats were warm, before settling down.

Game was more expensive than yesterday (despite yesterday being Cody Bellinger bobblehead night) because Game 2 was Friday and at a "better" time (for working people, that is).

We did get to see a Max Muncy HR, and an exciting ending in the bottom of the 9th, where the Dodgers ultimately blew bases loaded.

I want to say that I love Dodger Stadium, and feel it gets a bad rap. In general I really like the "Mid-Century Modern" type of architecture, and Dodger Stadium fits that description perfectly. It was built in the early 60s, and while it's been renovated, if you look closely you can still see how early 60s it really is. Hell, they even have a "Club Level" which originally had no suites or anything special about it, aside from the fact that you were able to access the "Stadium Club" and feel like you were somebody. The 50s and 60s were all about that. People were very big on clubs and feeling like they were part of something.

But I digress. I love most things about Dodger Stadium, and I'm not even bothered by some of the "rougher" element which attends games there. They don't bother me. I'm a middle aged white guy wearing Dodgers gear. I'm about as far as can possibly be from what they see as a rival.

But one thing that absolutely, positively SUCKS about Dodger Stadium is the parking. It's a fucking mess. It's a maze of a million different entrances and service roads feeding into the stadium, and if you choose the "wrong" one, you get directed up to dreaded Lot 15, which is up a steep hill and feels like a mile away from the stadium. Also, once parked up there, it's a minimum of 90 minutes until you get out of that lot in a sold-out game.

They only open Lot 15 when necessary, but I finally figured out a trick to avoid both that lot and the long line to enter the stadium. There's a little-used road to enter the stadium because it feels like you're driving the wrong way. They even try to put up signs saying "QUICK DODGER PARKING TURN RIGHT" and nobody does it because it just feels like you're being led astray. Even I ignored the sign until finally trying it and realizing I found gold.

Until today. While I got right into the stadium area, I got the bad news that all the lots were full, and I was again being directed to Lot 15, which was even farther away. Like, it looked like 40 minutes wait to get up there, and perhaps more.

I was already late for the game thanks to brutal LA Friday traffic.

After cursing the situation to myself for about 10 minutes, I saw another line of cars out of the corner of my eye, and thought that perhaps it was going somewhere different. I crossed through a full lot to get there, and lo and behold, I was right. Somehow I got into a regular lot. I patted myself on the back, but boy is this a clusterfuck.

I guess I can purchase Preferred Parking for like $60 next time, but it's hard to bring my Jew self to do it. But I just might.

Bought 2nd row loge (2nd level) seats behind home plate. $157 each incuding lol Stubhub fees.

Was happy with them. The obnoxious foul screen wasn't bothersome like it is on the field level, where it appears a lot bigger and more distracting.

Ben was the one who went with me.

Was getting worried about the Dodgers, down 2-0 today and once again showing zero clutch hitting ability (as they had an issue with on Friday).

The wheels fell off once the Nats put Corbin in relief (despite having been Game 1 starter), and the Dodgers hung 7 on them in the 6th inning. It ended up 10-4.

So now the Dodgers are in great shape. Even LOL Russell Martin clobbered them (2/4, HR, 4 RBI).

Did I tell you guys that the NL has a bad bullpen?

The Nats bullpen has sucked as expected, and the Cardinals bullpen has also been shit. Braves and Dodgers bullpen haven't been terrible, but not particularly good.

AJ Pollock has been horrendous. So had Bellinger, until he finally broke out in the middle of tonight's game. Would like to see Pollock benched. He's an automatic strikeout.

Also, is there a more clutch hitter out there than David Freese? He even managed to run fairly fast in the 6th on Martin's double, which was surprising given that Freese is one of the slower runners in MLB at this point.

For anyone who cares, you can watch these NLDS and ALDS games on TBS/TNT through free apps on your phone (TBS, TNT respectively), using the billing login info for your cable/satellite provider.

    No blackouts.

Also be aware that if the previous game scheduled for TBS is still running, your game is on TNT, or vice-versa.

it would suck if the dodgers don't win. does anybody really want to see any other team in the ws besides them?

they seems lil vulnerable as well.

LA can't frikken hit and have too many outmakers. they have one hitter in turner, and bellinger has fallen off a cliff from his ridiculous pace.

strasburg is a hell of a pitcher.

at least it's a home game for them.

Nobody other than Druff & Mary Hart are particularly interested in any NL team in the WS.

Readjust you’re thinking. The ALCS is going to be a bloodbath. The two best teams in baseball. That’s what you are looking forward to.

Maybe the ALCS winner is so exhausted that they become a bit vulnerable to the weaker NL opponent. That might help.

    Food for thought
Strasburg and Scherzer in relief. Animals. I ask you, which Dodger starter do people think would save the day in a similar clutch situation off the bench?

    Seriously.

He never came in same result!

Wow. I wasn’t watching then. Hard to believe Kershaw is the cavalry.

I had a near death experience in the 5th. Nats are up. In fact, Scherzer is at bat in the pouring rain. My hands are shaking as I race to enter my password on my sportsbook app.

If they rain delay Scherzer is done and the whole Nats bullpen experience results. Nats lose. I even pulled up a live bet and am debating what size load to drop.

    Then the skies miraculously cleared

I woulda died if I was any faster.

I tuned in during the 5th.

Minny is another flawed 100 win team.

Like you said about Giants, Padres, Rockies merry go round. There is a certain amount of inflation going on in baseball.

It’s like college football - first 2 or 3 games are mismatches. You really don’t know what you got yet. The stats are inflated and untrustworthy.

    That’s the beauty of postseason.

How are the Pirates looking -- both right now and in the future?

Also, the "overpriced Dodgers" have very little salary commitment for the future. If anything, they've been too frugal by not spending on any impact free agent, and choosing to go with existing cheaper talent.

Every year they seem to do something dumb with a mid-priced free agent for a few years (in 2019 it was Kelly and Pollock), but it's nothing catastrophic or franchise-busting.

Today's entire lineup of position players was cheap except for Turner, who has been worth the money.

Well, Dodgers are going with Buehler. I think it’s safe to say the greatest pitcher in the MLB narrative is officially over with the public when it comes to Kershaw. No one listened years ago. Idiots.

Speaking of prophets, I hope you have a solemn Yom Kippur, Druff. You know how this will end. You won’t be missing anything.

Washington is +141. I already have Nats series at a big plus price. I have several Nats futures at enormous odds. It’s not a Nats love affair. It’s not just Dodgers hate. It’s a matchup story. Just keeping it real. Yet, I will add Nats for tomorrow too. These odds will come down as we get closer - just gotta take advantage of the financial opportunity.

    No hedging

Dodgers haven’t hit Nats pitching yet except for Corbin’s relief episode. Three outcome baseball with these mutts is not a clutch approach. Wind is blowing in last night. Dodgers were defiant and jammed the long ball cause that’s all they have been programmed to do.

We tweak Druff but truthfully he has revealed glimmers of realistic understanding. However, I have had to read the Dodgers are the best baseball team narrative all season in power ratings etc. Even last night you still heard the automatic “Dodgers are the best team in the NL”. Huh? It’s a struggle every day of the season until I’m proven right. Again. I soldier on spreading the truth. It’s all you can do.

But it's okay if good pitching beats them they will win the division again next year.

Bullpen game tonight for TB? Castillo is starting.

I just assumed it was. That’s what they do.

I don’t know where the opportunity is in this game. But I will say this: if the Astros lose and they have to burn another starter in a game 5 - there will be no adjustment in series price vs Yankees. Astros will still take the initial money without adjustment.

I’m not saying Yankees beat Astros but the series price will be wrong.

Here’s more food for thought. There were 4 playoff games Monday but I’m sure the handle for the NFL was bigger. That’s opportunity. It’s why we love tennis and NHL. Especially live. Some books actually have a human being doing NFL live odds instead of a service. Trust me, there is no one doing live tennis or NHL. For that matter, nobody has a fucking clue about NHL preflop which was the magic of the 1P’s especially with the European books as you well know. The difference between books was unbelievable and clueless. Bully for us.

Spread betting football is stupid. This is a decision I have made. I do it but I know it’s weak sauce. NCAAF used to be hailed as some weak market. Collectively, college is edging out NFL now. It’s being exploited. Don’t kid yourself. The only edge seems to be early lines ... Monday -Weds. lotta movement til close.

One caveat to NFL. There is such a have and have not disparity that if you just grab the favorite (Patriots class teams) you can’t go wrong. Or the Redskin type fade.

    Edit.
Oh yeah. I am still learning but I contend the public does not move the college lines. Only the sharps do. So that angle is meaningless. I’m almost 100% sure this is true. Early lines getting hammered out by sharps early in week is where the interesting stuff is. It’s hard to game
