Bovada payment processor steals from me a year later

Here's a credit card I rarely use, but bought in twice to Bovada in December 2017:

And while I haven't touched the card since then, look what just popped up:

I didn't make this charge. Notice that it's small -- either as a test charge, or because they know they're more likely to get away with it (more likely the latter).

Bovada itself did not do the stealing, by the way. It's their shady Chinese payment processor.

    Was my first thought too.

Seems more likely Druffs card just reverses it (meaning the scammers keep what they took), he bitches to Bovada and they say "sorry sir we'll get right on that", and then there's a one hour segment next radio show warning people about it.

    Two things to note..

#1 that's not a good way for them to increase their social credit score in China unless scamming an American is a positive.

#2 That's probably just your portion of the interest payments for the National Debt owned by China of US Bonds..

Honestly, there's not much I can do in this situation.

I called the credit card company, had the charge removed, and had them Fedex me a new card with a new number.

Not even going to bother contacting Bovada. They're very aware that their processors are shady. I've been down this road before with them.

    Exhibit A: https://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sh...skimming-again

I should have learned from my experience in August 2017 and simply stopped using credit cards on there, but I was out of BTC and the game was too good.

    I'm on both.

Ignition insists it's a different company, even though that seems unlikely to me.

I will say that Ignition has been more reasonable to deal with than Bovada, but that could just be different management styles.

thks , they told me same thing when I called,I actually got thru on the first try. Just wanted to check with someone with authority. Same layout and all , tourney schedule looks way better then acr even pays out more spots to make it rec friendly.Reasonable late reg and all the tourneys are freezouts no rebuys
