Druff's all worried about a Liberal MN City's Zoning laws....MEANWHILE in Commiefornia:

State of California wants to tax your text messages so the state can give cell phones to low income types.

Mind your own bobber Druff. The Nutjobs in Murderapolis can do with it what they will, 2 Million other Minnesotans can live wherever/however they please, and all the Jews can stay in St Louis Park. Everyone's happy.

This is the shit your own state produces:

There are Jews in Minnesota? I never met a Jew in my life until I started meeting my internet poker friends. True story.

Not going to happen. Los Angeles and San Francisco would burn to the ground if it does.

The most optimal play if it does pass is to beat feet to Colorado.

so we're clear this is physically impossible to enact or enforce.

After WW2 a lot of migration happened, St Louis Park was where a lot of them ended up and it still has an extremely high concentration of observant jews.

Don't underestimate the sheer stupidity of Californian Government. Or voters, for that matter.

again im just saying, you could place a flat tax on devices or fold it into a monthly bill but there is not a viable way to tax per text, so to speak.

im not saying some patchouli soaked acid casualty isnt going to champion the cause, im just saying that the pragmatic implementation of a viable, actual tax on text messages (beyond some sort of flat rate) could not be achieved using the current protocols.

Luckily, I don't think Gare could muster up the ambition to champion any cause other than making the trek to the fridge and back without a rest stop.

The text tax thing isn't going to happen, unless it ends up as some flat surcharge on cell bills.

A per-text tax would be so unpopular that any politician backing it would become toxic if it were to pass.

One more line item tax on a bill that already has a bunch of them.

California voters will be stupid to notice, and too clueless to care.

Every drug addict in my life somehow figured how to get an Obama phone.

At least the Obamaphone thing got Master Scalir a phone.

I actually kept offering to buy him a cheapo prepaid phone over the years, but he kept declining. Then the Obamaphones came out and he got one.

They're pieces of shit and break all the time, but at least Master Scalir isn't at pay phones much anymore.

I listened to an interview of Al Franken and he says Minneapolis has a Jewish community, which is where he grew up. But outside of that probably not a whole lot.

This dumb stuff and hugely high taxes are why most of us are leaving Cali. Nice place to visit but you can't live there. Do I have to get rid of my cell with Cali area code or will they go on billing address?

I've seen Cali plates flooding AZ the last year like I've never seen before...

Hoping they aren't bringing all their bullshit policies with them.
