The real question becomes at what price would any of you attempt this?

    5:1?

    10:1?

    25:1?

What about a 100k freeroll just to get through it?

I can't see myself ever risking my own money even at 100:1.

Give me a sick freeroll and perhaps I'd consider it but I would probably need at the very least:

So I think he'll pull it off.
actually that is a useful idea in this situation

keeping track of eliminations is one way to judge passage of time...and knowing how long you've been confined helps the captive--read that in a spy novel where hero was being held, he used the depth of his waste bucket to judge how long he had been held (he was also being drugged to disorient him)
(long before there was a PFA i had my Grenade & Crossbones avatar at DD)

I'd bet most anything that this isn't possible -- at least where he has the option of leaving.

Google back on the genesis of this bet when a guy named Jay Kwik did it (and didn't really finish) under much easier conditions with a bet from Andrew Robel.

I could do this for 100,000 dollars no problem. I would quit my job and do it every year. It would be easy if you knew you were getting paid. I would do pushups and situps and come out ripped and black-guy rich

Couple of things that haven't been mentioned. Food. If he has no light then he's not cooking his meals otherwise there would be some light coming from of an element. Same with the fridge. Did they take the light bulb out of the fridge? If not he could amuse himself by opening and closing the door. If he's having his food provided, he could then judge time by the number of meals per day and their frequency. Constant surveillance. Eliminates self gratification as does being unable to find the lubricant.
And yes he looks like he spent the first 12 years of life in a closet so he has that going for him.
Nothing is more obvious today than the single inability of capital and private enterprise to take care of themselves unaided by the state; they are all the while besieging legislatures for relief from their own incompetency, and "pleading the baby act" through a trained body of lawyers and lobbyists.

I think his "opponent" is bringing him food at different intervals so he can't use that to tell what time it is...

Its implied all the food is in the room at the start, so his other problem will be disposing all of it (just throw it in the tub) and who defines what ample is?

He's going to be eating a lot of cans of pringles at this rate.

It's actually a bathroom. Not sure where, but that explains how there's a shower and bathtub in there.

About a decade ago, some guy made a bet, also at Bellagio, regarding living in a bathroom for 30 days. But he was allowed to do it with the lights on, and didn't have nearly as many restrictions.

I believe that this bet will be closely monitored, and he will automatically lose if shenanigans go on.

I definitely would never have taken this bet, even if it paid a lot more than $100k. You only get one brain.

Its kind of an amazing bet in that if you add any type of stimuli to the equation, it becomes simply a boring ass month. Books, a window, etc. As wagered, almost no one could do it voluntarily. That unlocked door would call to you, then scream to you by like 72 hours. A perpetually broke person couldnt do it, let alone someone who can afford to wager $100k. If you can wager $100k, then youd easily convince yourself that youd rather grind for the next six months than spend another minute in that room. If he makes it, Ill be incredibly impressed. I would think the average person would need someone holding a gun to their childs head outside the door to resist stepping out.

I think he will make it about two weeks...then he will kill himself or terminate the bet.

Im shocked at how everyone thinks this is impossible. Solitary confinement is a real thing people endure every day around the world without going crazy.

David Blaine once stayed in a box without food for 44 days.
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

I fucking love this challange, its the exact opposite to chinas BS dead easy weightloss bet.
It will be damn near impossible, but 100K is a lot of motivation.
Shit should be streamed with night vision cameras, would prob get millions of views.

Dont think solitary confinement as they do in prisions are nearly as bad as no light and no communication at all

As mentioned, I used to play 10-20nl w/ Jay back in the day. He was a good, aggressive player then, way ahead of the curve - or my donkey ass at least. Hated him at first for it, but he grew on me. Street smart kid from Vegas. Didn't weigh more than 130 pounds probably. I heard he later went broke like almost if not all of the other full time players from the era.

I know its a bathroom but it probably shares a wall with the room next door.

yeah but with no pornhub it'll make it harder to pull it off...

The days when we needed to use our imagination was so much better.

There was no staring at some filth on a screen with your head tilted forwards. It was just you, a rag, and the ceiling above.

My mind would always race towards older women whilst doing the deed. Often, a rouge wet finger would find its way up my own arse... Great times.

All that authentic rubbing has gone now tho #sadface

I'm sure people know of it but a t.v. survivealist was to spend a month on a deserted island with no contact, no tools/help and some Gopros. He kind of cracked up half way through, crying, battling depression etc. And he had sunshine, beach etc.
    He did make it.
