IPhone backup help PLEASE

Ok, so I have had my Iphone for almost two years now, and have refused to update it because every time I go to do it in the past, I end up losing a bunch of apps and music I've bought it and it's annoying as shit.

Here's the message I get when I'm about to update my phone.




Does anyone know what this means? How do I back up the stuff they're talking about? I would really appreciate some help. I am pretty computer illiterate when it comes to these things, and it'd really mean a lot to me if I could update my phone and not lose apps/music. I know I can just download them for free again, but chances of remembering which ones I had etc are zero to none.

Right click on 'Dans Iphone' and there should be some options to transfer purchases (don't have iTunes on my work computer) or something like that. Once you do that,do the same for backing up your phone.
I always do a backup before updating software.

Ah, the right click. Thank you. I kept trying to import/export and it just wasn't working.

Ok, so I just did the backup, and the update to my phone and now all of my contacts are gone, all of my apps are gone.

I'd imagine they are all backed up into my itunes. How do I take them from there and puit them back on my phone?

I can see everything I have on my itunes, but I'm not sure how to get it back onto the iphone.

I'm not even sure what to google to make that happen

Ha, actually I thought his first Comedy Central Presents special was fucking hilarious and I remember thinking man, we should see some big things out of this guy. But alas, he ended up going the Eddie Griffin route and making a string of shitty movies and standups that were not as good as the original shit that got me into them.

As far as your contacts and everything goes I do not have an iPhone but when I want to move shit from iTunes to my iPod I just left click and drag and it works out for me. You said you can see your contacts and apps in iTumes so try that out I guess. From what I heard everything with iPhones is now all about the cloud so everything you have available on your phone is supposed to be available on your computer/iPad as well. Like I said though I don't have the iPhone so it may or may not work. Good luck.
