It wasn't Football it was Futbol in a ragtag organized league...and it wasn't a broken collar bone but it was in that general vicinity...that's why Yupp wins.
Here's the quick story:
I was playing defender and went to save a nearly sure goal by the other team. I just misjudged where the goalpost was. Totally trauma caused collapsed lung and it feels like life has been sucked out of you.
When you have a collapsed lung, the jam this plastic chest tube into you (while you're awake). I was under the mistaken impression that this was needed to inflate the lung until I just researched it yesterday. In actuality, they don't insert the tube into your lung, it goes into a chest cavity where air, blood and puss have accumulated quickly (that's what caused the deflation or collapse of the lung). Took six days for the lung to bounce back. Now you know.

The pneumonia in lungs answer might seem like closer at first cuz the body part was correct, but, YUPP was imo closer because this was ***injury caused*** during a ***team sport*** If I had hit the post differently I could have broken my collarbone.
There was also a close car accident/skater accident/some other accident guess...for me, YUPP was closest.
But yeah, 100% rigged.

I have this preconceived notion that in the 60's and 70's people were breaking their collar bones like crazy and now somehow it's stopped happening. I was born mid-80s.
I'm pretty sure my Mother broke her collar bone when she was 8-14. And so did a bunch of my Aunts and Uncles. And so did a bunch of my friends parents (when they were young).
Haven't heard of anyone breaking their collar bone in like 20 years though.
Fun sidenote: the reason I chose car accident was because I spent a week in the hospital after a car accident the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving 1995, when I was 18. My injuries: Fractured pelvis, fractured scapula, broken ribs, and the most immediate concern, a pneunothorax caused by the broken ribs. Also, I punctured my spleen.

Any problems now from the pelvis fracture? I broke mine when i was a kid and the doctors said id be in a lot of pain when im older. Well im older and barely any pain. Thank god
