Ex-con poker pro takes down big guy during domestic violence incident at Venetian

Michael Haag did a 3-year stint in federal prison due to drug charges. He learned to play poker while behind bars.

Here's the background story on him: https://www.pokertube.com/article/ex...oker-in-prison

He also has a Jiu Jitsu background.

Since leaving prison, he has become a low-mid stakes poker pro, and lives in Vegas.

He was playing at Venetian, with vlogger Jeff Boski, and got up to go to the bathroom.

He then witnessed an argument between a guy and girl, and saw the girl smack the guy on the shoulder. This enraged the guy, and he punched the girl in the face.

Haag decided he had to act, so he jumped on the guy's back and attempted to put him in a sleeper hold. This actually worked, and the guy fell asleep. However, the girlfriend wasn't grateful for the help, and attacked Haag, yelling, "Let him go!!"

Eventually others showed up to help and separated the girl from Haag.

Security considered 86ing Haag for this, but people spoke up in his defense, and he was allowed to stay.

I think the vast vast majority of the time there is a domestic incident in public and a man comes in to "save" a woman from her partner, he is just making things worse for everyone. There is pretty much no upside at all, except for your desire to beat someone else up, because it gives you an excuse to assault someone else.

    Where the hell was security?

This whole MMA shit is getting out of control. I've known several people who have been choked out by bouncers at clubs and one of these times some MMA wannabe is going to kill somebody using a choke hold.

That being said the guy who closed fisted his girl deserves to have his wind pipe crushed so I agree with the use of force in this case.

Mike Haag is a fucking moron. Domestic violence my ass.

He seriously fucked with an independent businessman in the process of motivating one of his under performing assets.

The pimp and his ho then get booked at Clark County Detention Center. The pimp calls his lawyer and the pimp is free. Charges are minor, something like disturbing the peace. Vice detectives might or might not be informed of the situation. Of course the pimp didn't want to press charges.

Mike Haag stars in a utube with his full name front and center. And the details of his actions and resulting security clown and cop actions are plainly stated.

The pimp doesn't live in strict solidarty like a fucking monk vowed to silence. Everybody he knows hears the story several times. So we have expanding Venn diagram circles of poker players, youtubers, and criminals. If the circles overlap the pimp knows the name and face of the dude who fucked his life to some extent.

The location in the Venetian is prime ho real estate. At the bottom of the escalators to and from Tao nightclub and on the main street level entrance from LV Blvd after crossing the pedestrian canal bridge. How someone who has lived around criminals and spends time in LV casinos doesn't possess the situational awareness to realize what happened is amazing. Mind your own business.

    Go fuck yourselves.

    Jesus, really?
This is a callous as druff saying that dude in Florida deserved to die. Maybe not that bad.

So essentially, if a women is getting her ass kicked by a guy, and another guy jumps in, he is a self centered prick?
That makes 0 sense to me.

I just don't remember posts like these pre-Trump.
Its like people are just mean, for no reason, now a days.
