For his punishment, he should be forced to live in Detroit for the rest of his life.
I don't try to take advantage of restaurants. Banks, yes, but not restaurants.
Restaurants I simply want to get what I paid for, and have it done properly.
I never make up stories to get free food, nor do I ever angle to get anything I don't deserve.
There are restaurants I visit where I've been going for years and never made one complaint.
There are others which fuck up frequently, and it's awkward, because I don't want to be the guy who constantly complains, but I also don't want to pay for incorrect orders.
The problem is that some restaurant owners (like you) are paranoid that everyone is out to screw them, and they blame the customer for their own mistakes and failures.
Unless you constantly have a line out the door to get a seat in your restaurant, you need to treat ALL customers well, even the pain-in-the-ass ones. Otherwise you will find you don't have enough business and your restaurant will fail, as yours did.
One of my favorite "stupid owner" stories took place about 15 years ago. It was at a breakfast place which I saw advertised all the time, and figured I'd go and try.
They screwed up our order really badly. Like, there were about 6 different mistakes.
We sent it back, and they screwed up the redo.
I asked for the manager (who turned out to be the owner). He profusely apologized, and had it made a 3rd time while he personally supervised. He said the meal was on him, and told us to come back and they'll do better next time
I was impressed with his customer service skills, despite all the fail, and we returned the following week.
Again, the order was screwed up really badly by the kitchen.
There was no question that it was their fault. Even the server agreed that the order we received was totally wrong.
The owner came back out. He saw it was us again. The server explained that the kitchen royally screwed up our order.
Rather than apologize a second time, he took a different tone.
"Well, both times we've tried this, the order keeps ending up wrong. So this isn't working out," he said. "It's probably better you don't come here anymore."
So the guy was asking us to not come back because HIS EMPLOYEES were (verifiably) screwing up our order over and over.
Instead of fixing his kitchen help issue, he blamed the customer, and told us to GTFO because his own kitchen couldn't get our order right.
A few months later, the place closed.
There's people who will spend $20 freaken bucks and expect the world while in there mind they think there absolutely tolerant and forgiving..
They have way too much time on there hands and it seems too happen too the same people over and over again..
Don't get me wrong, I love your stories and absolutely believe them too be true too the letter..!!!!!!! Luv the stories!!!
But most people will Just eat your turkey club, drop a measly $15 at the register and move on with there life..
It just always seems too happen to the same people over and over..
Don't over think your corn beef on rye..
Sometime s, it cones out too perfection and sometimes perhaps not as moist as i would like..
It ain't that serious..
Generally 2 types of people behave like this .
The milionare upper east sider who hasn't had a day job in 30 years and lives in a rent controlled door man building complaining the management doesn't do enough for the $275 they spend a month in rent on there duplex..
They go to restaurant,s just too be offended and "try" to get a free matza ball soup with extra dupling extra crackers for there so called inconvenience.
The other people living in the building paying 12k a month just eat there fucken corn beef , say thank you and go home JUST LIKE MOST PEOPLE.
And any female worker for the board of education in an urban areas..(they actually don't do much and get boku overtime for staying home) there just miserable bitches..
EVERYONE ELSE JUST EATS AND HAS A LIFE..
Obviously I've eaten a big ol plate of fuck up at a ton of Manhattan restaurant,s..
MOST of the time, I'll just pay, eat what I can and leave a very nominal tip..
AND JUST NEVER GO BACK.

Confirmed Spartan is this guy:
Except for the Jesus Christ part, very accurate, on point , very complimentary (for me) and nothing but "real talk",(straight up)...
Excellent movie, great clip and made me an Edward Norton fan the first time I saw it..
The hulk sucked, but hey. EVERYONE has a monthly nut to pay..

18 months probation for the spitter who had a clean record and no illnesses. He was diagnosed as autistic at two years old so I'm sure his lawyer played that card.
He also has to take anger management and can't work around food until his probation is up.
LOL Detroit
Compared to most criminals around there, he was probably a model citizen, so that probably played into the light sentence.
Reminds me of when I went to traffic court in Norwalk, and I was surrounded by car thieves and gang members. When it came time to hear my case, the judge looked like she felt her time was being wasted by my case, and quickly dismissed it.
No jail time? Seriously?
Also LOL @ him being able to return to working in food when his probation is up. It should have been, "No working in the food industry ever again", and if he doesn't agree, he goes to jail instead of probation.
Jail time or what???
I've spit in people's faces and when the cops would come, didn't even want to hear it. Just said go home.
The guy try to call me out,so I spit in his face for a physical reaction so I can knock him the fuck out or let him whip my shit off his face like a pussy.
I call that a win/win..
You can't do that with big dik, he just sits there with a smile and wants another one.
White privilege strikes again. Not that I'm complaining about it.

Not white privilege but people treated accordingly too there pattern of behavior..
Real talk..
I live amongst "them", they really are animals..
Given how difficult he can be in customer service situations (right or wrong), I wonder what the O/U is on how much semen and saliva of upset employees Druff has consumed? I have a feeling it is a bigger number than he would like it to be.
I'd actually like it to be zero, so you're probably right. However, it's not as high as you'd think.
Most of my complaints are in areas where there's nothing that can be done like that (customer service calls, hotels, stores, etc).
Only a small percentage are in restaurants, and in those cases, I try to wait until all of the food has been served, and then ask for the manager.
With restaurants, it's a damned-if-you-do-, damned-if-you-don't situation. If your order is fucked up, if you say something, you risk someone screwing with your food like in this video. If you don't say something, you are paying for food which is incorrect and you may not enjoy eating. I actually let small things go for this reason, but if there's a major screwup to where it interferes with the enjoyment of the meal, I do have to send it back. Regarding bad/rude service, I will wait until the end to report it, so as to prevent any fucking with my food.
Bottom line is that people should see jail time for this. It's been an accepted practice for far too long, but in reality it's gross and can also be a major health hazard. Unfortunately people like thesparten believe that unhappy customers "deserve" their food to be spat in. No, they don't.
