I think the real danger is that it could exacerbate class differences which are already extreme if it ever happens.
there will be the super people who will control an even larger % of the wealth and then there will be everybody else - struggling and scraping by
and more bitterness - and more violence

That's pretty much a given.
To this point even the worst of that type realize others are necessary to do their bidding.
If you go beyond this point, where the DNA elite decide to remove the DNA inferior it becomes a game of Survivor, where anything goes. That's where the DNA elite are no longer good for the game and they put themselves on the chopping block.
