trade for a dominant front line starter.....if money is no object, maybe greinke?.....offer TB the world for their young stud SP...yanks have plenty of awesome trade pieces on their big league roster and minors. they can wiggle a really good SP from somebody because of it.
as for their batting order. getting stanton was an awful move. didn't need it when they got him now they desperately need a good postseason left hand hitter with gregorius out.. not just 1..they need multiple LHH's
murphy makes sense. not many better hitters than him. plug him @ second and move torres over to his natural position SS. murphy may ht 30 ding dongs with his 300+ avg as well. this move seems easy and obv imo. not to mention he could play 1B and 3B
you could get machado, but why? another RH bat. even with gregorius out it doesn't seem smart unless they move andujar......stanton caused this problem and now you're stuck with him
harper on the other hand, does seem like a fit. they need a LHH. and they need an OF. .unless they go cheap and get a markakis type. or trade for a good hitting LHH OF.
plenty of options....the yanks might open up their wallet this offseason.
maybe even trade sanchez. for whom?..no idea. relamuto is RH but he's a much better hitter. i would explore it..any good LHH catchers?
yanks have plenty of trade pieces. clint frazier is mike trout waiting to happen and the yanks don't seem to be willing to give him a chance. he needs to get out of NY and play everyday.
even andujar could be traded in the right scenario.. have to think voit gets a full season, but you never know, and 1st base LHH seem easily had.
