i won't even pretend to understand or even have investigated the scientific issues on both sides, but I have to ask: Why was is it so fucking hot and humid in New England that I had to turn on the AC while watching the NFL games on an October Sunday? I absolutely believe that man made climate change is a real thing, but I disagree that "we are fucked." Through different times in Earth's history it has been much hotter and colder than it has today and life persevered. I think most of the current mega fauna and mega flora will not be able to adapt and will go extinct in the wild, but this has happened before. I think Homo sapiens as a species will actually be able to use our technology and our supreme ability of adaptation to get through.

This is of course assuming we don't get into a nuclear war which actually does destroy the world or make ourselves infertile through environmental toxins, but those possibilities are always there with or without climate change.

Not really. Anyone who isn't a political ideologue could independently come to the same conclusion reasonably easy. It is political ideology that causes fuzzy thinking on politically charged topics and inhibits the ability to come to obvious conclusions.

Climate change chicken littles have destroyed their reputation.. Al Gore swore Miami would be under water by 2013.. They all are starting to remind me of those weird preachers who keep claiming the world is going to end and then go silent when it doesn't happen, then randomly pop up again screaming the world is going to end again.. The reality is you say it often enough maybe eventually you are sorta right.. 40 yrs ago these Chicken little swore we were headed for an Ice Age back in the 1970s.. I just don't see how anybody can take these idiots seriously.. BTW USA has cleaned their air up.. When the slant eyed bastards in China decide to actually live up to their obligations as well as the Slurpee Caste in India maybe Ill take the rest of the worlds commitment to clean air and "stopping man made aspect of climate change" I don't entirely discount humans do affect climate some but the arrogance that we are primarily responsible is laughable... We are but a tiny blip compared to the powers outside our control. Sun Spot cycles affect Earth weather so much more then human involvement.. Avg Vulcanism (for those who aren't aware that volcanos) contribute so much more particulate pollution then most of human involvement.. Hell Cow farts are the number one cause of Methane pollution in Earths Atmosphere.. SO by that liberal logic we should immediately kill all cows (but then that creates a total short circuit by the Peta folks obviously).. What annoys me is everybody claims its getting hotter ont he planet.. We are nowhere near the avg temps seen when the Dinosaurs were present by a long shot.. We actually were under a mini Ice Age from 1400-1900 which is problematic because the Weather temperature records from when Man was capable of taking daily thermometer readings only starting back at the end of the Mini Ice Age around 1880.. So obviously were going to warm up after a 500yr cooling period its a natural long term cycle.
