As a lifelong 49er fan, it sucks because Jimmy G was showing some potential, but they weren’t going anywhere with the Rams in their division. They barely beat a bad Lions team at home last week. Better to go 5-11 and get some good draft picks than 10-6 and lose on the road in the first round of playoffs, if they we even capable of that.
Hopefully he learns from this and just goes out of bounds next time. Sucks that he got injured, but taking on the defender just to get an extra yard or two was beyond retarded. Not the first time he has done that either. Like Wentz, he needs to learn how to just get down and live to play another down.
