It’s an older book so it will probably be sitting on the shelf in a library.
It’s about a guy, Michael Lewis, who luckboxes his way into a Wall Street firm in the late 80’s.
He was completely unqualified and ended up making huge salary. He thought what he experienced and the people he worked with were so absurd that he quit and wrote the book.
This is the best part. He wrote the book to give an insiders take on how insane Wall Street firms were but college kids wrote Michael Lewis thanking him for this “how to get a job on Wall Street book” which was never his intention.
It’s not boring. It’s character driven like a movie. He describes the outrageous people he worked with. It’s pretty funny.
I fucking loved it.
There’s many a mention of Liar’s Poker on the forum. Lotta guys here have read it. Always gets a thumbs up.
