Its true its not the Sheinbergs running it and sadly that's not coming back.. I am hopeful though we are slowly starting to see a critical mass beginning to form for interstate poker again.. Kinda of like a star forming in the galaxy.. Matter slowly combines and then eventually Kaboom it ignites and Let there be light.. I believe the critical mass will require two of the following three states to reach that point.. Those three being NY, FL, and CA.. (it is remotely possible Critical Mass could hit just getting CA online with the Interstate play compact but I think its borderline and believe its more likely CA will be the third of those 3 to come online)..

I think youre right on that one ftp...

if you get a NY-PA-NJ pact you have a nice little (emphasis on little) start there...I think NY just needs a little nudge to get over the hump...I was always hopeful for FL to join the mix since they seem very gaming liberal, but I just have a tough time in seeing it happen...I will admit to not being well versed in the FL market, but I believe the tribes control most of the gaming in the state...if that's the case I just don't see shit getting off the ground...

im hopeful for all these big states that they start taking a hard look at sports betting and while they're at it just say 'fuck it' and attach internet poker to their bill so that they can deal with the gambling stuff in all one felt swoop...

Unfortunately, the tribes control Florida - for now - and they aren't letting go easily.

yeah that's what I thought...didn't know of any major casino corporation owning anything down there...that's fuck city...it's gonna have to take some major convincing from stars/888 to get a partnership set up...and I think the tribes are just so entrenched on, 'fuck this internet gaming shit' that nothing gets done...gonna take a real progressive leader of one of the tribes to do something...don't know if theres that guy/gal out there...

Yes youve got the Seminole's with the biggest chunk along with a few others.. My thought is this.. Tell the injuns theres a way to make more money off the pale face and they'll consider it.. The problem is like the fight in California its not the Indians as a whole its the damn infighting and getting them all on the same page as a concerted effort to make it happen.. Florida likely will end up passing Online poker similiarly to NJ in that itll be tied into a larger online gaming bill to allow the Indians to expand their offerings to online as well.. (They know generally the bigger money is outside of Poker but when they dont have to exert much effort to run it other then Customer Service which theyd have already for an online gaming site and payment processing (handling it like NV does allowing people to deposit in person is a start as well as Echecks).. So Florida can happen if you can get the Seminoles, Micosaukee's and a few others to agree to some general outline for Egaming as a whole it can happen as it means a bigger pie for all to share (and the Seminoles obviously would get the biggest chunk anyway)
