how much did you spend on that laptop? 1500?
its a new macbook pro. i think it was around $4800? 32g ram, 2tb hd, didnt bump the cpu, got applecare because despite being really well engineered i know that its basically a huge unfixable toy that will become totally unusable in about 18 months when the battery begins to swell.
normally i migrate accounts from old to new macbook which solves a lot of problems but this time i decided to just build the admi account from scratch for data/security prophylactic reasons.
downside being i still havent unfucked certain website logins.
also to be clear this laptop is worth nowhere near $4800, its probably $4000 worth of laptop, tops, but its light and im not going to grow out of it for 3+ years probably. if it had like a 1070 or even 1060 or video card that could do VR it would be an absolute war beast.
also the touchbar is an abomination and im physically ill at the thought that money went towards that which could have gone towards a proper video card.
