AOC was applauding teenagers for taking actions to prevent others from gathering where they wanted to hear Trump speak. You can't just say, "Well, Trump would have spoken in the overflow area afterwards if it had people there." That's not the same, and you know it. People reported trying to get tickets, finding it was sold out for the actual event, and giving up. That's understandable. If I wanted to go to a political rally, I wouldn't bother with the "overflow" area either.
As I said, I'm not mad at the kids who did it. That's the type of shit teenagers do. However, for a sitting Congresswoman to applaud this is classless. If Trump wants to hold a rally, people shouldn't interfere with it and try to prevent people from attending. Congresspeople shouldn't applaud efforts to stop people from being able to attend.
It's all under the banner of suppressing speech. It's the same type of shit as when leftists on college campuses try to prevent Ben Shapiro or other conservatives from speaking there, sometimes resorting to violence and/or rioting to accomplish it.
Some of the left has now found it noble to prevent their opponents from speaking and peacefully assembling, under the guise of "silencing hate speech".
Anyone who cares about civil liberties should be alarmed by this, rather than defending it.
