I think that's in some degree every politician at her level and above (and some below but that's more inconsistent).

However, I have seen examples of lesbians who convert back to straight/bi, including someone I knew personally.

A girl I knew in childhood was a lesbian as an adult, and even went as far to have an unofficial "marriage" to a woman in 2001, long before it was actually legal in California. At the time, gays and lesbians were far less celebrated in society than they are today, and in fact there was still a lot of discrimination against out gays at the time.

From what I had known of her, she wasn't the type to do things for attention or to make a statement. She really did see herself as a lesbian.

Then, about 5 years ago, she met a man, got in a relationship with him, and married the guy. I saw on her Facebook that she took considerable flak from lesbian friends who felt she betrayed their cause (lol). She seems happy -- at least it appears so in her pictures, though I know that can be misleading on Facebook. She's still with the guy. Also, the guy had young children with him that he seems to have at least 50% of the time, and she was also okay with that, despite having no kids herself.

I think women can actually switch back and forth more easily, especially since a lot of their romantic attraction is driven by emotional factors, whereas with men it seems to be more of an even mixture of sexual and emotional.

Some women are definitely this way. I used to see a girl years ago who has been married, had kids, dated only men, then ran off and married a woman only to divorce her a few years later. I asked her about it and she basically just fell for the chick but had to divorce her because she didn’t want to have sex with her, which was clearly problematic for the actual lesbian.

I mean, like I don’t think I could have talked her into a threesome with a girl. I don’t think she rolled that way for real, she just fell for a girl. She had some childhood traumatic shit which I’m sure is in the mix. The most on/off girl I ever dated. Might want to have sex 30 times in 5 days, then had no interest for the next month. Like you couldn’t initiate it. Just kind of be there and if she was down, it was a fucking struggle to keep up with her for a few days, then nothing. Being an armchair shrink I was trying to figure her out. Wondered if she was some strange bipolar type and the sex was a manic state, but she didn’t feel manic in any other way. I never could pin it down. She said it was always like that.

Just wired different. I kind of think she just met a girl during one of those down times when sex didn’t even come into the equation. I remembered her talking serious one time and I kind of just looked at her and said “ yeah, I’d marry you and then my luck you aren’t feeling it for a decade.” She conceded that could happen and asked me if it was that big of a deal? I just kind of looked at her. I liked her, but not that much. We had little in common. One of the stranger relationships of my life.
