Here's an article from 2015 about her:

There are also suspicions that de Blasio married her mostly to make a statement of, "Look how progressive I am -- a white guy marrying a black woman!"
So the whole marriage might really just be a sham, in a way.
However, I have seen examples of lesbians who convert back to straight/bi, including someone I knew personally.
A girl I knew in childhood was a lesbian as an adult, and even went as far to have an unofficial "marriage" to a woman in 2001, long before it was actually legal in California. At the time, gays and lesbians were far less celebrated in society than they are today, and in fact there was still a lot of discrimination against out gays at the time.
From what I had known of her, she wasn't the type to do things for attention or to make a statement. She really did see herself as a lesbian.
Then, about 5 years ago, she met a man, got in a relationship with him, and married the guy. I saw on her Facebook that she took considerable flak from lesbian friends who felt she betrayed their cause (lol). She seems happy -- at least it appears so in her pictures, though I know that can be misleading on Facebook. She's still with the guy. Also, the guy had young children with him that he seems to have at least 50% of the time, and she was also okay with that, despite having no kids herself.
I think women can actually switch back and forth more easily, especially since a lot of their[/B] romantic attraction is driven by emotional factors[/B], whereas with men it seems to be more of an even mixture of sexual and emotional.
