After nearly getting run off the higheay by another trucker a few weeks ago while listening to Druuf discuss how that Mexican restaurant with the takeout window tried to “nickel and dime” him over the number of salsa containers came with the order before being charged 50 cents extra per container, as well as being charged $1.00 extra for cheese on the tacos, I have experienced a sort of inner transformation, a steeling of my resolve to not get steamrolled by merchants trying to squeeze every last dollar out my wallet before I cry uncle and break down crying in the bathroom over being such a pushover. And today it came to fruition for the first time since that life-changing experience, resulting in my saving $2.00!
Actually, it was slightly more than $2.00, as I also saved on the sales tax given that the pre-tax charges were lowered by more than $2.00. So, I feel even *more* like a champ in this matter!
But because I don’t want to trivialize this new development in my personality, which has the potential to guide me towards a profound refashioning of my life’s limits and expectations, I’m going to hold off sharing the details of this story for when Druff can take my call during an upcoming radio show episode.
And who knows. Maybe he and I can plan to cover this event and possible implications of this develop for my future. So, be on watch for news of such a segment in this thread and the radio show threads as Druff posts them.
Until, then, people...
