With regards to the best burger joint

Just had my first Carl's Jr. and it was really good. But I've made burgers every bit as good or similar
at some mom and pop shop. Point being you can only do so much with ground beef and all the extras.

Unless you're marinating them in cocaine or heroin it's just bullshit. Yes you can get a bad burger
six ways till sunset but you can only get so good.

My daughter was in L.A. recently. Tried the In and Out. "yeah it was good"
    that's it

I've yet to try In and Out but the people on the internet make it seem really good. 5 Guys doesn't have drive thru (where I live at least) so it can't count but they are very good. Steak 'N Shake is my go to fast food burger. As a kid in Texas I enjoyed Whataburger. I enjoyed Whataburger so much that I preferred it to BK or McDonald's even though those chains gave toys.

I was right. Just had a better burger but only because of the way it was served.
Thought I'd try a Bison burger as I'm in "Pile of Bones"
Informed that the Bison was still frozen, no word of a lie, would you like one of our other
specialty burgers. Ostrich, Elk or Kobe Beef. Went with the Elk.
Then I sit and wait and see the sign, You Build It, for the fixings. I'm all over that.
That's a better way to do it. But there was no, omg, this is the best burger I've ever eaten

We don't have these joints in my town and just as well. People pigging out with one pound burgers and it showed.
    I'm done with them.

Best chain fast food burgers are either In-N-Out or Tommy's (at least in the western US).

Carl's Jr. isn't anywhere near the top. Sorry, Les.

BTW, Tommy's chili looks super gross (surprised I even tried it), but boy does it taste good.

If driving between LA and Vegas, there is a Tommy's in Barstow, off Lenwood Rd from the 15.

McDonald's somehow still has the best fries.

Druff what do you think of Five Guys (both burgers and fries)?

Also re chili, I don't know about Tommy's but most burger joints that have chili chop up waste burgers (burnt, broken, etc) to use for their chili meat. Someone I know who used to be a Wendy's manager confirmed this.

Like I said I'm surrounded by fast food joints. Five Guys, Fatburger, Baron Burger, Fuddruckers (Elk burger best so far) and Carl's but I'm done with them.
Best burger I've ever had was in a Regina hotel pub one year ago. It's world famous, I found out, and is called the Guinness burger. There are lot's of versions of it but it must have the meat marinated in Guinness beer to be a contender. People add this or that to it but the one I had was simply the best burger I've had. Cost was like 18 bucks.
How stupid is that unless it's a one off.

Isn't it California that has adopted these special fast food lanes for the special obese. Show a knee and you're fast/fat tracked
