My guess is that this is a complication of Type 2 Diabetes & can be corrected with an adjustment in diet. This would mean no more sugar but Druff loves Wild Cherry Pepsi too much.

I'm going to another doctor for more tests tomorrow.

I do want to say a few things about the US healthcare system:

    1) There is a huge doctor shortage, especially in certain specialties.

    2) Obamacare sucks and for the most part only covers the shit doctors who are either 80 years old, poorly reviewed, couldn't get into medical school in the US and went to some shit foreign school in the Caribbean, or have a waiting list months long because everyone realizes how few good doctors are taken by Obamacare.

    3) Too many doctors just guess at shit and barely listen to you, simply wanting to push you along and get to the next patient.

Sadly neither party has any viable solution to the healthcare issues in the US, and it will only get worse with time. Eventually people will get fed up and accept socialized medicine in the US, which will be a complete disaster because the existing problems will just worsen and Uncle Sam will foot the bill.

I found number 3 to be true almost regardless of reputation, insurance, etc. They are almost entirely rote thinkers. In the same way you have to go through a divorce to really hate lawyers, you need to get really sick with a hard dx to properly understand how badly they suck at anything non-standard.

#3 is very true in my experience. Recently, a doctor kind of chuckled at me for scheduling a physical in back to back years, noting that she told me that someone my age only needs to check in every three years until told otherwise.

I did it partially due to cmoney (lol) but also just like the clean bill of health.

She skipped the genital check and I asked why. She said if I had no concerns that it wasn't necessary. I've turned and coughed at every physical I have ever had and was pissed that I had to ask her to have a look even though I had no worries - if I'm there, wtf not right? I'm not a doctor.

But she fills my bi-annual xanax script for travel with no questions asked - if something did come back abnormal, I would definitely switch

In 20 years I have never had but a spectacular experience with Health Care. I am not on the Obama Exchanges so I cannot comment on the low rent people. I view Health Care like getting a steak. Some people will go to a Fridays for a steak, never me. Only the best like Smith and Wollensky, just like Health Care. Thought you knew. You want cheap you get cheap Druff. Go get a job 40 hours a week at a car dealership for the benefits only. Or stick with the exchanges. Your call.

    God Bless the NHS.

Excellent and highly professional doctors (some of the best in the world)

No discrimination based on a patients wealth (everybody treated as equal)

We even take care of Americans who come here in their droves to bum our excellent healthcare.

Also, it's absolutely free (as it should be)

It is far from perfect but it is clearly the best on earth.

Wait justa minute.....We hear time and again how the U.S. has the greatest healthcare in the world.
Most qualified specialists, best equipment etc.
But you, a man of some means is not willing to take adavantage of that because you're too cheap.
Your healthcare system is set up to heal the rich. But you're looking for the deal

Socialized health care does not work for large countries. In micro countries like Sweden who have a GDP of New Jersey it's ok. But for 350 Million people and above socialized medicine does not work, otherwise China, India and all of Africa and South America would do it.

If universal health care worked in the US, it would have already been done. There are too many unhealthy people in the US due to obesity and smoking. Both groups I just mentioned are generally poor and live off the tit of the US, so the math never works. In Sweden they get shamed out of the country or get healthy. Sweden has like 7 Million people, there is nowhere to hide if you are fat and disgusting, in the US of 350 million plenty of places to hide and blend in.

    Big difference.

Africa is a continent, not a country. And those countries can't do it as they're dirt poor anyway. The same principle applies to the South American countries.

Also, you mention Sweden, but what about countries such as Germany & France. They're obv not 350m big, but they're still pretty huge in comparison to Sweden.

I just read Druff's post saying he's fed up of cowboy doctors treating him like a cheap whore and thought fuck that.

Should not be happening in the richest country on earth.

No it really comes down to greed. The people with money are so smitten with it they fear someone will take it away.
And your military. Biggest sinkhole for the American taxpayer. You just don't really care. And that is proving to be your downfall. Your country could pay for free health care and free college tuition if it had the desire. Instead the have nots grow by the day and become your biggest problem ever.
Your ideological bent on money is what will finish you fat fucks off. The sooner the better.

The only relatively quick way for Druff to upgrade from a cheap Obamacare plan would be to marry someone with better coverage (the girlfriend maybe). Another option is find a friend who has a small company and have them add you to their company plan and kick them back the cost. You really need a top doctor if your symptoms are complex.

Obamacare is sold at different levels depending on what you want to pay Gold, Silver, Bronze at least in NY, with the Gold costing more but saving you more when you go use it. However upgrading the Obamacare is only a once per year option.

I have great insurance and live with a doctor anyway but had to take some courses in Obamacare for work. Even most company insurance has become less generous and more costly over the years. Too many freeloaders paying zero and lawsuits from not doing enough have padded the rates and forced doctors to test for excessive crap.

It costs around half the share of GDP that the retarded US system costs.

I have a debilitating condition which is difficult to successfully treat, and in many cases the possible cure is worse than the malady (and often fails). If I cannot find a way to successfully treat it, then it will never get better (and in fact might get worse).

The condition itself is not life-threatening, but it is life-altering and I'm basically miserable every day (though some more than others).

Yesterday I dealt with 8 hours of hell from 2pm-10pm, before things finally moderated (it goes back and forth between moderate, bad, and terrible.)

I've lost 17 pounds since this all started, though my weight seems to have stabilized for the past few days.

Sleeping is incredibly difficult to do, and taking sleep medication just makes it worse.

It's amazing to think that, just 3 weeks ago, I was feeling fine.

It's your call of course, but why don't you just spit it out what it is you have?

People on here would spend time searching the webs looking for ways to help. Or they may even have friends/family who suffers from the same condition.
